On Wednesday, Sept 24 (6:00pm) in Mendocino, Valerie’s space hosts an evening of deep-listening and adventurous sound with Charmaine Lee (solo), Eyvind Kang & Jessika Kenney (duo), and Randall Dunn (solo)—three singular voices in contemporary experimental music coming together for an intimate, immersive night.

Eyvind Kang & Jessika Kenney — duo
Long-time collaborators whose music unfolds in patient layers of tone, textless song, and resonant harmony. Viola and voice converge into luminous drones and finely etched melodic lines—music that rewards close attention and transforms the space.

Randall Dunn — solo
Composer/producer celebrated for immersive, cinematic sound design. Dunn’s solo work channels analog synthesis, tape textures, and harmonic overtones into a richly dimensional set that hovers between ritual and futurism.

Charmaine Lee — solo
NYC-based vocalist/electronics artist known for sculpting raw sound from breath, resonance, feedback, and silence. Lee’s improvisations are visceral and precise, pushing the voice into new terrain. Currently on a 50-state solo tour, she brings a concentrated, high-voltage set tailored to the room.

Location: Valerie Mendocino (10546 Lansing St, Mendocino)
