We are deeply saddened for the loss of Landin Bodine, one our own Krekels Forsyth employees. He was a great fry guy that will truly missed and was so appreciated for his hard work and his attitude. He was true gentleman and respected young man. It’s hard to watch one of your employees go like this when they had such a long life ahead.

On Thursday 12/11, a portion of our profits will be donated to Landin’s family. Please come out and show your support for Landin and his family ❤️🍔🍟

We are deeply saddened to share the news that our mother, Renee Krekel was called home peacefully yesterday, 8/4/25 at 11:15am surrounded by the embrace of her grandson Gavin and best friend Tina. Renee and her husband, Rick Krekel founded Krekel’s North at the previous Woodford location in 1987. They worked tirelessly for years building their business and giving back to the community.

In recent years, Renee took a step back from the store to focus on some health battles she had been fighting, and spend more time with her beloved grandchildren, Gavin, Gracie, and Sammi. Over the years, Renee touched the lives of many employees, customers, community members, friends, and family ❤️

Congratulations Gavin Krekel on your 8th grade graduation from Maroa Forsyth Junior High School. Another chapter closed and now on to the big show. Thank you to all of the teachers for all you do, especially these two guys right here. Mr. Sheppard and Mr. Wallen get these kids ready for that next big chapter of their lives. Trojan nation is the best place to call home. Best of wishes to all of the 8th grade graduating class. These next 4 years are gonna fly even faster!!! We all love you Gavin!!! Go be great!!! 💙💛
