That chill in the air is our reminder: it’s time to prepare winter bags for our neighbors in need. 🧣🧤 We’re collecting warm socks, gloves, hats, scarves, and other cold-weather essentials. Backpacks are welcome, too! Donations can be dropped off at the St. Francis County CARE Center. Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors. 💙

💛 Good morning, neighbors!

Yes, we still have USDA food available, and I will be distributing today until 1:30 PM. Just a reminder: there is no USDA distribution on Thursdays.
I also want to take a moment to sincerely thank every volunteer who came out last Friday to help us unload our food truck. I know some of you don’t like public recognition because you serve from the heart, but I need you to know just how much your help means.
As the only staff member at the CARE Center, I appreciate you more than I can say, but so do the neighbors and families who depend on the services we provide.
This work can be mentally tough some days, but it is also incredibly rewarding. Knowing that, together, we helped someone put food on their table, meet a need, or simply make it through a difficult week is a feeling that is hard to describe.
Thank you for showing up. Thank you for caring. And thank you for continuing to help us take care of our neighbors. ❤️
Neighbors helping neighbors, that’s what community is all about.

📢 St. Francis County CARE Center Update

The St. Francis County CARE Center will be CLOSED Tuesday, September 15.

We will reopen on Wednesday, September 16, and we still have USDA food available for distribution for those who are in need.

Please help us spread the word to anyone who may need assistance.

Good morning, neighbors. 💙
I am aware of the individual currently sleeping outside of the CARE Center. One thing I truly love about St. Francis County is that when we see someone in need, our hearts naturally want to help.
We are providing comfort items and assistance as we are able. If the Lord places it on your heart to bless someone, we certainly would never discourage kindness. However, please use caution when approaching or interacting directly.
I usually take time to establish a relationship with our neighbors in need, and even then, we remain mindful of everyone’s safety.
Thank you, St. Francis County, for continuing to be such caring and compassionate neighbors.

We will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8, following the Labor Day holiday.

• Tuesday: 10:00 AM–11:00 AM
• Wednesday: 9:30 AM–1:00 PM

Good evening, neighbors! 💙
Just a reminder that the St. Francis County CARE Center is a part-time agency and is normally closed on Fridays.
However, for emergencies or private one-on-one financial literacy counseling, I will open the CARE Center on Friday by appointment only. If you make an appointment with me, please keep it or contact me if something changes. I am happy to make myself available to help, but communication is very important.
If you know you have an immediate need going into the weekend, please call or inbox me before Friday whenever possible so I can try to get you taken care of. And good news, our CARE Center phone is back working! 📞💙
If you are serious about making financial progress, I am serious about assisting you. If I can't help, I know someone who can. Let’s do it! We are here to help, and we simply ask that you respect the time set aside especially for you.

Rest in Peace, Dolly. 🤍
Dolly Parton spent her life seeking and sharing joy. The Salvation Army honors her life of service, love for Christ and all His children, and her musical brilliance. Thank you, Dolly, for showing others what it looks like to put that faith into action.
Our prayers are with her family, friends, and all who are mourning her loss.
