The Caring Cottage Neighborhood Little Free Pantry @ 213 E 1st St. Take what you need or give what you can! Donation overflow bin on the porch. 🥰 If you need it, take it!

The Caring Cottage is a neighborhood free little pantry located on the corner of S Park Ave and E 1st St (213 E 1st St.) It is open 24/7 for anyone to donate or take items as needed. There is no income barrier as this is set up as a way for neighbors to help neighbors. Donations are always appreciated. There is no need to shop, we can take any extra food/hygiene items you might have on hand. However, anything with a best by date later than a year will be thrown out. Follow our page on Facebook for daily updates! Please message if you have other misc items (non-food) that you think would benefit the pantry!

If you noticed the pantry door off, it's back up and ready for winter! A new plastic bag holder will be installed tomorrow and I'll post a more aesthetic update. As of right now, our neighborhood pantry is almost empty. We are ALWAYS taking donations of shelf-stable food and hygiene items. Now that winter is approaching, we are putting out gently used or new coats, gloves, hats, blankets, etc. I've updated the inside poster with a new Facebook QR code and addresses to other self-serve pantries.
We had to step back a bit this summer, but coming soon will be another drop box for the porch and more regular updates.
Thank you again and again for supporting your local neighborhood pantry!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Green bins: 12-18m Snowsuit, kids size 7 snow pants, and Women's M purple peacoat!

Big shout-out to Peggy who has been routinely donating to the cottage all the way from Oconomowoc! I had the absolute pleasure of meeting her in real life. You're a gem. 🥰❤️
A little bit of everything today along with adult sweatshirts, pants, and size 10 slides.
As always, take what you need and feel free to leave food/hygiene items. With the colder months coming up, gently used winter gear is always appreciated as well! If you're unsure about a donation, feel free to shoot me a message through this page. Thanks for visiting your local Little Free Pantry! ❤️

Swim diapers (S) and hopefully *the last* of the clothes clean out on my end. I'd rather it go free than drop off at a thrift store. Women's xs/s, baby girl, boys 18m-M, girl's 5T-M. A couple of gauzy swaddle blankets. Everything has been washed and sorted by gender.
Pantry is looking a bit empty, but there are some black beans and seaweed (complete with ketchup bags!) 😅😆
Thank you to everyone who comes by and helps stocks! I see you and the neighborhood appreciates you. 🥰

It's time for extra garden goodies!! Not much today, but there will be more. I cut a few flowers for anyone who needs some extra whimsy on their table. They are in jars at the base of the pantry. 🥰.
For all the other homesteaders who planted a million tomatoes and cukes, feel free to drop off extras at the closest pantry near you!

🌻 Summer Update 🌻
The cottage is still open 24/7 for taking or dropping off items. Location is 213 E 1st St. Donations of shelf stable food/hygiene items can go directly in the pantry or placed on the front porch on 1st St (we have cameras and alerts!)
I have had to step back from bigger donations and daily updates due to life circumstances. Please no clothes or household items at this time (other local pantries such as The Prayer Pantry or Take It or Leave It, Inc. might be more helpful in that area!)
5/15 - I am breaking all the rules today and put out some extra clothes I had in my basement. Boys L (10-12). There are extra bags in the bag container, please leave the bins! FCFS. ❤️
