This week I'm shining the spotlight on a local heartbeat in our village:

Giddy Up Folsom!

What started as a dream has become a little piece of paradise right here in the heart of Folsom. Frank Richerand and his daughter Ashley took an old building and renovated it from the ground up, creating a welcoming Western-themed coffee shop and community hub that truly digs into the roots of our town.

From fresh coffee and pastries to paninis, smoothies, and more, Giddy Up is the perfect spot to start your day or gather with friends. But they’re so much more than just a coffee shop. On their grounds you’ll find The Paddock, a fantastic music and events venue, along with regular block parties, farmers markets (almost every weekend, weather and the occasional hurricane permitting!), and a true gathering place for our community.

Frank and Ashley have poured their hearts into supporting Folsom. They host and sponsor village events, donate generously, and help make our community stronger every single day. Their commitment to local business, culture, and family values makes them a shining example of what “Folsom is Family” really means.

We want to thank everyone who came out to our A Day of Barn Quilts | A Paint Your Own Barn Quilt Event. It was a great success, and we are excited to announce the possibility of doing it again in the Fall!
A BIG SHOUT OUT to our judges, Erin Wojtala with the St. Tammany Master Gardener Association, The Village of Folsom Mayor Lance Willie, & Caryn Lang with the Lacombe Art Guild. We will be announcing the winner in a few days with their help and judging expertise!
Also, we want to thank Don Gutelius, Brian & Connie Schmidt for their contributions and volunteering that helped us pull off the full day!
