Wolf Bay Lodge is a family – owned Baldwin County tradition known for its high quality fresh seafood & local ambience. Its rich history began as a bait shop nestled in the trees along the beautiful waters of Wolf Bay in Elberta, Alabama in the 1940’s. Through their hard work & determination, they began serving a full menu of delicious seafood recipes – many of which were created by ladies that wor

ked there or lived nearby. Although the restaurant was “off of the beaten path,” it soon became a favorite among the locals & area visitors alike. On December 7th, 2008 the original lodge was completely destroyed by fire. It has since been rebuilt in two locations – Orange Beach & Foley, Alabama – where it continues to be family owned & operated. Wolf Bay Lodge is known for being a local seafood tradition, and prides itself in serving high quality, fresh meals in a family friendly atmosphere. Furthermore, many of the dishes enjoyed today are recipes from the Wrape’s original menu including the seafood gumbo, crab stuffing, stuffed shrimp, stuffed whole flounder, and many of our salad dressings. Our deepest gratitude goes to the loyal employees & customers throughout the years. If this is your first visit with us, we welcome you to the Wolf Bay Lodge family!

If you've dined at Wolf Bay over the last decade, chances are you've been greeted by David Thrift's friendly smile.😊

David has been serving Wolf Bay guests for 10 years, and what he enjoys most is simple: "I love a job that lets me connect with people."

His genuine personality, warm hospitality, and ability to make every guest feel like family are just a few of the reasons guests enjoy being in his section.

Outside of work, David is embracing one of life's greatest adventures...being a new dad. He loves spending every chance he gets with his daughter, and fatherhood has quickly become his favorite role yet.

Whether he's connecting with guests or spending time with his family, David brings the same kindness, positivity, and heart to everything he does. We're grateful for the genuine connections he creates every day and proud to have him as part of the Wolf Bay family.

Thank you for 10 incredible years, David. We're looking forward to many more!
