This weekend, we're turning a challenge into something delicious. 🇬🇷☀️

With Michigan's current Cyclospora outbreak affecting lettuce, we wanted to make sure our guests still have a fresh, crisp, and refreshing option to enjoy during the summer heat.

Introducing our **Greek Chicken Salad**! 🥒🍅
Made with a colorful blend of fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, peppers, and feta cheese, topped with a grilled chicken breast and served with our **housemade tzatziki sauce**. (Yes... our resident Greek extraordinaire, Marianna, made the tzatziki from scratch. 💙🇬🇷)

Not looking for a full entrée? You can also enjoy a **mini Greek salad** as a starter in place of our traditional house salad with any entrée while we're temporarily not serving lettuce.

Sometimes the best ideas come from adapting, and we're really excited to share this one with you. We hope you'll love this fresh summer favorite as much as we do!

🚨 **Important Update for Our Guests** 🚨

At Madison's on Main, the health and safety of our guests has always been our highest priority.

Many of you have likely heard about the ongoing **Cyclospora outbreak** being investigated across Michigan. While health officials have not yet identified a specific grower, supplier, or product as the source, the investigation has increasingly focused on **lettuce and leafy salad greens**.

We've been in close communication with our produce distributor. Our supplier has tested the lettuce they have provided, and those tests have come back negative. However, because the investigation is still ongoing and no definitive source has been identified, we believe the right decision is to put our guests first.

**Out of an abundance of caution, we are temporarily pausing the use of all raw lettuce and leafy greens until more information becomes available from state health officials.**

As a result, **all salads will be temporarily unavailable**, sandwiches will be served **without lettuce**, and you may notice that some of our entrées are no longer garnished with leafy greens. We appreciate your understanding as we make these temporary adjustments in the interest of guest safety.

We'll continue to monitor guidance from the Michigan Department of Health and our suppliers closely, and we'll return these items to the menu as soon as we can do so with confidence.

This photo was taken on our very first night of service—July 7, 2022.

Looking back at it four years later is a reminder of just how much can change in a relatively short amount of time. There have been countless long days, lessons learned, challenges overcome, friendships built, and memories made. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: the incredible support of this community.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our four-year ownership anniversary with us last Tuesday. Your support means more than we could ever put into words.

As part of our anniversary celebration, we pledged to donate **$1 from every plate served**—including entrées, sandwiches, appetizers, salads, soups, and desserts—to the Flushing Christian Outreach Center. Thanks to all of you, we're proud to donate **$132** back to an organization that does so much for our community.

One of my favorite parts of each anniversary is taking a moment to look back at where we started and appreciate how far we've come—not just as a restaurant, but alongside the people who have supported us every step of the way.

To everyone who has shared a meal with us, celebrated life's milestones here, worked beside us, or simply cheered us on from the beginning... thank you. We are incredibly grateful for these last four years and truly honored that Madison's on Main has been a place where friends become family, memories are made, and our community comes together around the table. That has always been the heart of what we do, and it's a privilege we'll never take for granted. ❤️

Tomorrow marks four years since I was given the opportunity to become the owner of Madison's on Main, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate than by giving back to the community that has supported us every step of the way.

❤️ Four Years. One Incredible Community. ❤️

Four years ago, I was given the opportunity to become the owner of Madison's on Main (of course, called Kathy's at that time!) Looking back, I could never have imagined the friendships, memories, and support this community would give me along the way.

To celebrate our 4-year anniversary, we want to give something back.

On Tuesday, July 7, we're hosting Community Appreciation Day.

For every plate we serve—appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, entrees...every single plate—we'll donate $1 to the Flushing Christian Outreach Center.

The Outreach Center does incredible work serving members of our community, and we're honored to support their mission.

The best part? All you have to do is come enjoy lunch or dinner.

I'd like to take a moment to celebrate these two. ❤️

Angie and Dan have each been part of our restaurant family for over a decade. They met here, built a friendship here, fell in love here... and this past weekend, they got engaged. 💍

Many of you know Angie as our incredible Service Team Manager, whose heart for hospitality helps make Madison's feel like home. Dan spent many years in our kitchen before beginning his career as an accountant, but he still jumps in to help us whenever we need an extra hand. That's just the kind of people they are.

Yesterday, Angie told me they're even considering getting married here at the restaurant. I'll admit it... I cried right there behind the bar.

This is exactly why we do what we do.

Yes, we serve food and drinks. But more importantly, we create a place where people gather, where friendships are formed, where families grow, and where life happens. Watching these two build a life together has been one of the greatest privileges of owning this restaurant.

I'm so grateful to call them both my friends, and I couldn't be happier for them. Their love, kindness, and unwavering support for each other are an inspiration to everyone around them.

Congratulations, Angie and Dan! 🥂 Thank you for letting Madison's be a part of your story. We wish you a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and happiness together.

And if you do end up saying "I do" here... don't mind me. I'll be the one hiding in the back, crying happy tears. ❤️
