People see the pizza. They don’t always see what it takes to put it on the table.
For the last five years, our family has poured everything we have into this restaurant.
People see a busy Friday night. They don’t see the slow Tuesday afternoon when you wonder if enough guests will walk through the door.
They see a menu price change. They don’t see the rising cost of cheese, flour, utilities, insurance, payroll, and rent.
They see a favorite dish disappear. They don’t see the difficult decisions that have to be made to reduce waste and keep a small business alive.
What they don’t see are the 9 a.m. mornings that turn into midnight nights. The weekends we don’t take off. The holidays spent serving others instead of sitting around our own family table. The days we’re short-staffed but still determined to give every guest the best experience we can.
The restaurant business is one of the toughest industries there is. The margins are incredibly small, and every day brings a new challenge. Some days the dining room is packed. Other days it’s quieter than we’d hoped. But we still show up.
Then a family shares a meal together. A guest tells us they loved their pasta. Kids laugh over a slice of pizza. A regular walks through the door, and for a little while, this restaurant feels like an extension of home.
Those moments make every sacrifice worth it.
We’re not asking for sympathy. We chose this life because we genuinely love serving our community. We simply hope people remember that behind every locally owned restaurant are families who have invested their savings, their time, and their hearts into keeping the doors open.
If you have a favorite local restaurant—not just ours, but any local business—please support them whenever you can. One meal, one recommendation, one positive review, or one shared post can make more of a difference than most people realize.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Vinny’s Little Italy over these last five years. You’re not just buying pizza or pasta. You’re helping keep a family dream alive.
We’ll be here tomorrow, making your favorite dishes and doing what we’ve always done—working hard and hoping to earn your business, one meal at a time.
