A couple of these comments told me that I need to do a better job educating, as it seems that some don't really know what VEGANISM entails.

I'm tickled to have found three of you who've been vegan longer than I have! 💪🏾👌🏾

And finally... I'm SHOCKED that there are so few vegans on my page! 😳 I honestly thought at least half of my followers were vegan. Wow! That tells me that MANY non-vegans enjoy my Café. That warms my heart! 💖

Well... maybe I can convert the others. 😏😂

Anyone looking to adopt a German Shepherd? Only two years old and due to be euthanized if not saved before 8/17....

I wish I had about 500 acres of fenced-in land! I'd adopt every single shelter animal due for euthanasia!

🚨MOLLEY SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA 8/17 @ 11 AM FOR SPACE🚨

💔 Molley is a sweet, affectionate 2 year old German Shepherd who has been bounced around far too much in the last week.

She was surrendered to DAS on 8/5 because her landlord wouldn’t allow pets after being adopted from DAS about a year ago. She was adopted again on 8/7, but returned just 4 days later after an incident involving her adopter’s young grandchildren. The adopter reported that Molley lunged and barked at the children and believed she was being protective of her person.

And this is an important reminder: give your dogs time to decompress and know the breed you’re adopting. German Shepherds were bred to be loyal, protective working dogs, and being naturally watchful and protective of their people is part of who they are. That doesn’t mean every German Shepherd will behave the same way, but it does mean potential adopters need to understand the breed and be prepared to provide appropriate structure, boundaries, training, and management.

Molley has no bite history, and at the shelter she has consistently been described as friendly, easygoing, and easy to handle. She walks well on leash and has been described as tolerant and independent.

She needs an experienced, confident home without young children who understands German Shepherds and will give her time to decompress and settle into a new environment. She deserves the opportunity to be understood rather than passed around and ultimately killed because one home wasn’t the right fit.

Folks ... I need some recommendations! I have a unit due to arrive via freight with liftgate. Apparently, they will only drop the unit at the door. 😨 Can you recommend a company that can bring the unit into the cafe? It's 80inches tall and weighs about 600lbs, so you'll need a hand truck and two strong backs. If it arrives as the other units have, it will be on a pallet. I want someone who knows how to twist, turn, manipulate in order to cross my threshold. TIA 🙏🏾

💛 A Quick Clarification About Our Heat & Eat Membership 💚

I've received a few questions, so I wanted to clear up one point.

The Heat & Eat Membership is NOT a monthly subscription or automatic monthly charge.

When you purchase a meal package, you're simply prepaying for that package of meals.

For example:
🥗 Premier Membership = 10 meals. Once you've enjoyed those 10 meals, you may purchase another 10 whenever you're ready. There is no requirement to wait until the next month.

🍽️ If you choose a larger package, such as 40 meals, you're purchasing 40 meals at one time. When those meals are gone, you can purchase another package whenever you need it.

There are no automatic monthly payments and no obligation to reorder on a schedule. You simply purchase your next package when you're ready.

My heart is so heavy. This was one of two go-to spots, when I resided in Atlanta. They were also THE FIRST vegan restaurant I visited, once I became vegan back in 2001. I cannot believe they're closing. I wonder if the one in Chicago is still operating? I won't be able to attend the final day, as I will be in Miami. But if you can go, GO! You won't be disappointed!!
