Maybe building a small business is a lot like planting a seed.
On Monday, Bean Bar quietly turned 6 years old. If you had asked us 6 years ago what this little business would become, we never could have imagined this. Maybe building a small business is a lot like planting a seed.
You choose a place. You care for it. You protect it. You water it. You celebrate every tiny new leaf because, at first, growth is almost impossible to see. Then one day. You look up! What was once a tiny seed has become something much bigger than you ever expected.
A tree 🌳
Its roots run deep. Its branches continue to grow. It weathers storms, welcomes sunshine, changes with the seasons, and offers a place for others to gather. But a tree doesn’t grow because of one person. It grows because of everything around it.
This year, we’d like to dedicate our birthday to every member of the Bean Bar family past, present, and those we haven’t met yet.
You are the roots that keep us grounded. The branches that continue to reach. The hands that have poured thousands of coffees, welcomed strangers like friends, solved problems, shared laughter, carried one another through hard days, and helped this little seed become something beautiful.
And to our community…
Thank you for being the sunshine after difficult days, the rain that helped us grow, and the reason this tree continues to stand a little taller every year. 6 years later, we’re still growing.
Not because of one person… But because of every person who has chosen to grow alongside us.
