Free, warm coats for children are available at Crossover Downtown Outreach Ministry!

Thanks to the loving support of Child Welfare Society, Crossover will be continuing our Children's Winter Coat Program, providing over 450 children with FREE warm, new coats this winter!! These coats are first come first serve, and are available to any child under 18 in need of a warm coat this winter. Coats are available NOW until March 31st, 2021, or until we run out. Let's keep these kiddos warm this winter!! ❄️❤ (See below for what to bring to receive a free coat for your child(ren)!)

Clients do NOT need a referral to receive services from Crossover at the moment. In order to receive a coat for the child(ren), a client must bring in:
• MDHHS paperwork showing proof that the child is living in the home with them.
• If a client does not have a case with MDHHS, they can call Crossover and we will see if there is different paperwork they can bring in.

In addition to this winter coat program, Crossover is still open for our daily services:
• Food & Personals: Tuesday-Friday, 10AM-2:30 pm (Once every 30 days)
• Clothing: Tuesday-Friday, 10AM-2PM (Once every 60 days)
• Household Items: Tuesday- Friday, 10AM-2PM (This is a one-time service. Must have a valid lease showing you moved within the last 30 days)
****Anyone entering Crossover is required to wear a mask and gloves. Both will be provided to you if you do not have them.❤

Come stop by and grab a lunch!

We will be set up Saturday to pass out bagged lunches! This will be our last “cookout” until the spring. Stop by at 1, say hi and grab a bagged lunch! Please wear a mask and social distance when possible! See you then :)

We will be passing out bagged lunches from Fresh Flint on Saturday! We know it's not the same as grilling out and spending time with each other, but we miss you all. We will be at 503 Garland Street. Please wear a mask and stay 6 feet apart when you can. We hope to see you at 1 p.m. on Saturday!

We will be set up at 1 pm with 100 bagged lunches from Flint Fresh. We have missed everyone, but we know we still need to be safe. Come say hi and grab one lunch per person. Please wear a mask if you have one and stay 6 feet apart when you can. See you at 1 until the lunches are gone!

Family, we were hoping to hold a Flint Community Cookout this weekend, but with a sudden increase in COVID-19 cases and the limit of outdoor events being only 100 people, we will be holding off. We miss all of you dearly, but safety is our top concern. We will continue to post resources as we see them.

This Friday! Food distribution in Flint.

This Friday, June 5th, we have a Drive-Thru Food Giveaway at Joy Tabernacle! This Friday food giveaway is a wonderful partnership with Crossover Downtown Outreach Ministry and the Urban Renaissance Center with food delivered by the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, fresh produce from Flint Fresh Food Hub and an AFL-CIO Community Services/United Way partnership, with funding from the Community Foundation of Greater Flint through the Greater Flint Urgent Relief Fund!

Important message to our cookout family: We will once again have to cancel this month's cookout. We miss the community that has been created each month during the Flint Community Cookouts, but we know everyone's safety is the most important thing right now. We are hopeful that we can do something in June, although it may look different than what we are used to. Please keep following us here for more updates and community resources. We miss you all! And we hope to see you soon!
