We wanted to address a few things weāve been hearing over the last couple of years since our rebrand.
The most common comments are:
⢠āThe menu is too limited.ā
⢠āThere arenāt enough choices.ā
⢠āItās expensive.ā
Letās talk about that.
Yes, our menu is smaller than many restaurantsāand thatās by design.
A smaller menu allows us to focus on quality over quantity. We use fresher ingredients, cook every meal to order, and refuse to cut corners. We donāt precook food or let it sit in hot holding equipment waiting to be served. (Soups and sauces are the exception.) When you order your meal, thatās when we start preparing it.
As for our prices, we choose quality over the cheapest ingredients available. We proudly use Dearborn ham, Anthonyās Bee Farm honey, Smith bacon, and burgers made from a fresh blend of short rib, chuck, and brisket. We believe you can taste the difference, and thatās something weāre proud to serve every day.
We understand that our restaurant wonāt be everyoneās favoriteāand thatās okay. Everyone has different tastes and different budgets. But before tearing down a family-owned, locally owned business online, remember that just because The Pig and The Hen isnāt for you doesnāt mean it isnāt exactly what someone else is looking for.
Weāre incredibly grateful to everyone who chooses to support us. Your support allows us to continue doing things the way we believe they should be doneāwith quality, passion, and pride.
