Dear Friends,
It is with sadness that we must report that we will no longer be operating out of our location at 1041 North Main Street. Despite serving the Findlay community from this location for the past 27 years, our lease was not renewed. It seems that our previous landlords wish to start a coffee and food service business of their own from that location. Unfortunately, we did not receive official word concerning the lease situation until December.
Although we have sought some way to continue operating, no realistic locations have presented themselves. Frankly, at this point, it is not clear that another option will become available. And so, with heavy hearts, we wish to thank each one of you for your support over these last decades. We have loved serving our regular customers, University of Findlay students and staff, and all those who have chosen to come and spend time at George House - sharing in our passion for coffee and community.
We, at George House, hope for some future opportunity to serve you all once again.
But until then, please know of our great appreciation for each of you. We will miss serving you.

Dear George House family and friends, it is with excitement for new opportunities and sadness to say good bye that I let you know, today I will be brewing my last pot off coffee at George House. I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am to have been apart of your lives for so many years. I have been witness to many struggling study sessions, long nights, first dates, marriage proposals, graduations, babies and so much more. I have had the privilege to be apart of so many of your lives and am extremely grateful for that opportunity. You have added an incredible richness to my life and my outlook on this world. Thank you for all your support, your smiles, and the life that you have shared with me. I’m also grateful for all the amazing employees I have been able to come into contact with and that have become my life long friends. That being said, MAKE IT A GREAT DAY and keep drinking coffee!

Because we all need coffee and a little bit of love, we want to invite all of our wonderful patrons to pay our dear friend Ben a visit. This Friday, October 23rd, from 11:00-2:00 we will be honoring his years of dedication to George House. Ben is embarking on a new career path and though we are sad to see him go we are so happy to see what this new opportunity brings for him! It goes without saying Ben has brought so much joy, laughter and encouragement to all of us over the years so let’s bring some back his way today!
