I was finally able to attend an Abdul El-Sayed speaking engagement and it was great to see that he’s still the same passionate, thoughtful leader that I remember from when we played football together in high school—back when he was our team Captain.

BIG NEWS AHEAD! In March, Patchwork Culinary Project will be welcoming new tenants into our Hilton Road space! As much as we love our cozy spot, we’ve quickly learned it’s not quite big enough to accommodate our ambitious concept. Being dreamers and optimists, we’ve started our search for a larger space! In the meantime, we’ll continue to concentrate on fundraising and showcasing immigrant businesses on our platform. As part of our fundraising efforts, Chef Nikita has been working on a book featuring recipes and stories from known immigrant chefs. This book will also include short stories from his own immigrant journey. If anyone would want their story to be showcased in this manner, please don’t hesitate to reach out for collaboration! Additionally, if anyone has leads or connections, whether fellow immigrants with stories to share or locations that will fit our aspirations…please feel free to contact us! We can’t wait to share this next step in our journey with you.
