BAD & BEAUJOLAIS is back for an 9th indulgent edition. Bouchon Voyageur est de retour.

On the 3rd Thursday of November in Beaujolais, the first French w**e of the season is released for sale at 12:01 a.m. Mere weeks after the w**e’s grapes were first harvested. This glorious day is Beaujolais Nouveau Day—an annual celebration of the first w**e of the season—which is a yearly rite of passage in southern Burgundy. And for the past eight years, we’ve brought the celebration stateside to our li’l oyster shack by the tracks with BAD & BEAUJOLAIS. A well-deserved justification for revelry & abundance in the dull lull before the holiday season. Join us in honoring Beaujolais’ 2026 vintage as we open some special w**e and feast on fatty French provincial seafood delicacies in landlock’d Ferndale, Michigan. Nov 19-21.

The Bad & Beaujolais a la carte menu will replace our everyday Dinner & Happy Hour menus on all three nights. There’s no pre-paid ticket or preset menu with this one, but reservations are LIVE and highly recommended. Join the crew at Voyager, Ferndale’s award-winning oyster bar & neighborhood seafood spot. We’re looking to add to our professional crew with a kind, smart, friendly and motivated SERVER who is comfortable in a high-energy and hospitality-focused environment. A love and appreciation for seafood is a plus, as well as bartending experience, but neither are dealbreakers.

Our crew works as a collective to provide a high-level & heartfelt dining experience to our guests on a nightly basis. All staff members are a part of our tip pool, and front-of-house staff are routinely earning $35-$40/hr in tip-share alone. Benefits include direct primary health care via Plum Health Direct Primary Care, employee/family discounts & flexible scheduling. We are hoping to add one skillful part-time staff member with the potential for full-time employment come springtime. Welcome the 1st ever End-of-Summer Lobster Boil to the Voyager calendar! Because why do only 2 Lobster Boils every year when you can do 3? Next thing you know, we’ll be doing 4! 😎

Whole Maine Lobster, PEI Mussels, Little Neck Clams, Andouille Sausage & more—bathed in our succulent house boil potion—only on Friday, Sept. 11 & Saturday, Sept. 12.

Some order one per person, some order one per party—it’s up to you. We’ll offer a small a la carte menu of coastal favorites & seasonal specials to supplement the Lobster Boils. Summery cocktails, beachy beers and bright/crisp w**es provide the perfect compliment.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with ever-changing seasonal ingredients including a variety of fish & seafood from nearby and across the globe.

Our crew works as a collective to provide a high-level & heartfelt dining experience to our guests on a nightly basis. All staff members are a part of our tip pool; kitchen staff can expect to earn $23-26/hour in combined starting wages (hourly & tip pool).
