📣 Southern Eats Special Alert: Chef Dre's Big Back Bowl is back for the weekend!

There's a story behind this one...

When Chef Dre first joined The Back Porch, he wanted his very first special to be a true reflection of what Southern Eats means to him: comforting, flavorful, and never leaving anyone hungry.

His idea? A bowl loaded with red beans & rice, smoked sausage, crispy fried chicken, and a honey-glazed buttermilk biscuit.

Behind the scenes, there was a little skepticism. Would people really order a bowl this big? Around the kitchen, it jokingly became known as the "Big Back Bowl" because, well... just look at it.

Then the orders started rolling in.

Guests loved it. The kitchen couldn't make them fast enough. And everyone learned the same lesson: when Chef Dre has a Southern Eats idea, you don't question it—you grab a fork.

The nickname stuck, and honestly, there isn't a better name for it.

The Big Back Bowl is back this weekend. Come hungry. 🍗🍚
