Hey, my name is Paul and I am one of the owners of V Pizza….I would really appreciate it if you took the time to read this!!!!

About 9 years ago, at 3.5 years old, my youngest son was diagnosed with Leukemia. As a dad, I felt helpless. The only thing I could do was support and pray! It was an awful feeling…as bad as you can imagine.

But we were blessed with a diagnosis that was beatable if we followed the protocol, and after 3 years of treatment, I am blessed to say that he is happy, healthy, and about to celebrate his 13th birthday!

Today, we don’t say much about him when we talk about V for Victory, because so many families are dealing with the same and many times MORE complex and uphill battles than we faced. But he was the spark that lit this fire….

Because of our families’ experience 9 years ago, we started V for Victory. Today, the charity supports over 800 families EVERY SINGLE MONTH!

While they are eating at V Pizzas for free and the kids are leaving their treatments to get free Legos at the V4V Lego store….the part of the charity that this message is about is the “Ascension St. Vincent’s Business partner program”!

It’s called “Ascension St. Vincent’s” because it was them who reached out to us and said “we want to help this mission, what can we do”??

They asked us, “where do you need the most help”?

We explained that we had about 400 small business partners and they all joined V for Victory as a business partner through word of mouth ONLY. We didn’t have money to market this or hire dedicated employees to go out and spread the word….so they said, LET US HELP WITH THAT!!!

Because of Ascension St. Vincent’s, you are reading this message. They gave us a significant donation to spread the word throughout the year!!

Then they said, “How else can we help”….so we came up with the idea that we could do an event at a different V Pizza every other week to get small business owners and decision-makers to come out with their families to hear about what the charity is doing! We could give them free food, free b**r, and most importantly, explain to them what it means to be a V for Victory business partner!

And because of Ascension St. Vincent’s, when you come out, you and your family get amazing food and family time…ALL ON THEM!!!!

If you own a small business or are a decision-maker…this is for you! (If you know one, please share this!)

All we want from you is to do whatever it is you do, for one family, one time a month!

A completely new pizza is coming to your table this week.
We’re introducing THE MUSIC CITY PIZZA.

It beat every other entry in our recent pizza competition. And the person responsible for making it?
That would be JED.

If V Pizza were a town, Jed would be the mayor. Or at least be a campaign manager. Either way, he’d have the whole town involved.
If you frequent our Mandarin location, chances are you already know Jed.

Jed has been with us for two years and has already worked his way through FIVE positions: front of house, dish, the pizza line, summer intern with our corporate team, and now…he’s an assistant manager!

He’s energetic, sincere, ready for anything, and always willing to learn. An old soul with a drive and determination that most adults could take a few notes on.

And the most surprising part of all this? HE’S STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL.
He’s the kind of kid who makes people who don’t want kids say, “Well, if I could get a Jed…”

We’re beyond proud of him. And we’re proud that he’s been able to do all of this here.
We want people to come to V Pizza and see somewhere they can grow. Jed has put in the work, learned almost every position, and made the most of every opportunity. Now we get to serve HIS pizza.

Our biggest problem with Jed? He wants to go away for college.
We know he’s going places. We just wish those places would be a little closer to Mandarin. :)

And in good kid fashion, he loves his mama. So when it came time to create a pizza, her love of chicken and pickles gave him the idea.

🎃 TRUNK OR TREAT IS BACK AT V PIZZA! 👻

Four locations. Candy by the trunkful. And one SPOOKY Sunday Funday.

Join us Sunday, October 25th at Mandarin, Fleming Island, Palm Valley or St. Augustine for Trunk or Treat, costumes, pumpkins, games and a full-on Halloween party.

The trunks pop open at 2 PM! Trunk or Treat is completely FREE and runs from 2–4 PM. Costumes are required to hit the trunks, so dress up, grab your candy bucket and Trick-or-Treat with us!

But the candy is just the opening act.

We’ll have pumpkin decorating, face painting, Halloween games, and more. Activity tickets will be available for a donation, with 100% of proceeds benefiting V for Victory to support local families battling cancer.

The trunks close at 4 PM, but the party keeps creeping on ’til 7 PM with Halloween music, spooky cocktails, pizza, wings and plenty of reasons to stick around.

We put a chicken cutlet, scrambled eggs, cheddar-gouda cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and house-made Italian sausage gravy inside our fresh-baked “00” flatbread. Then finished it with a drizzle of Calabrian pepper oil.

Weekly special time…and for the first time in a few years, we have a NEW SPECIAL to add to the rotation!!!

We call it “Layla’s Vodka Cavatapi” pizza!
We decided to do this special based on the following three things:

When Covid first hit and we were forced to shut down our dining rooms and go to to-go only, we started making family style meals of pasta.

We had 4 different options, but the one that sold far and away more than any other one was “Laylas Cavatapi”….named after one of our employees amazing mother who inspired it! The number of “reorders” (people ordering it again) of that particular pasta was through the roof and everyone kept saying that they couldn’t get enough of Anthony’s mothers homemade recipe Vodka Sauce!

Seriously, if I didn’t know the exact recipe I would swear there was unicorn horn dust in it!

As a matter of fact, it’s the only family meal pasta that we kept on the menu for good! (Yes, if you didn’t know it, you can still go online and at vpizza.com and order family meal pasta, salad and bread to-go)

The next thing we started thinking about was that our best selling “weekly special” of ALL-TIME was the “Mac Attack”! Its a pasta-based pizza that was so popular that we took it off the weekly special rotation and added it to the main menu!

Lastly, we thought about the fact that we were begged to add a few pasta dishes to our main menu for years to give more variety than just pizza and wings. I could kick myself for waiting 7.5 years to do it! But we finally added pasta to the main menu about 3 months ago, and now, the pasta dishes are selling like crazy!

With all of those factors swirling around, Anthony in our North Carolina locations came up with this weeks weekly special…and I have no doubt that it will be the best food you stick in your pie-hole this entire month!!!!

As usual, it all starts with our imported Italian 00 dough. Then we cover the entire dough with shredded mozzarella before we add the Cavatapi noodles that are slathered in Layla’s homemade vodka sauce! Next they take sliced meatballs and chunk up Bufala mozzarella balls and add it all on top. Finally, it all gets finished with chiff Basil, grated Romano, dried oregano and extra virgin olive oil!

I’m here tell you…it may not be the best pizza ever made, but it’s probably better than any pizza you’ve ever eaten!! :)
