Nomad's Natural Plate

The idea of Nomad’s Natural Plate began one night over a lengthy conversation concerning the inevitable topic of “what am I going to do after college?” I can only assume that most college students, particularly seniors, are faced with this terrifying conundrum daily. But to pick just one, and to stick with an idea until its fruition, is simply hard. During my junior year, I decided to study abroad

in Italy. It was there, in Italy, that I began to value the dinner table. Dinner was a sacred rite, a ritual amongst family and friends, and it was never a short affair. If dinner is done right, it will last no less than three hours. However, I began to deeply cherish the communion with friends as we would eat and drink, talk and laugh, and just simply enjoy Italy. It was there, in Italy, that I knew I wanted to be around food, because if you have food, you have friends and family. You may be asking yourself just what exactly all this has to do with Nomad’s, the food truck. Well, that “lengthy conversation” I mentioned above was about opening a restaurant. My friend and co-owner of Nomad’s Natural Plate, his name is Eric, loves food and people just as much as me. We both wanted to do “something” that involved being around people and allowed for mobility. We both have worked in the restaurant business for a while, and our shared interest in food and people; well, I think you know where I am going with this. The idea of a mobile restaurant was simply inevitable. The philosophy behind Nomad’s Natural Plate is simply to provide good food and meet tons of people. To us, at Nomad’s, these two things are fundamental. They are building-blocks to a happy life. One must always dine well, and when one has dined well, one has lived well! We both love the idea of a food truck, because it offers fast service and quality food at a cheap price. So, if you are out and about, hungry, and you have a craving you are finding hard to itch, please do come to Nomad’s and try our gyro or falafel. I mean, you should try it all; it is all great!
