Go enroll in your local “Penny University” today!
Coffee houses around the world have always served as a safe space for people to engage in creative thinking, debate/ discussion, social rebellion, government dissension, and sharing of radical ideas. They are community hubs to get news, gain knowledge, and become involved.
Since the 17th Century, they’ve survived various government and religious institutions attempting to ban, censor, or close them. These attempts often had the opposite effect and changed how we view and consume coffee. So go support your local coffee shop, take part in discussion, engage your community, caffeinate, and keep making history!

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Composing with both acoustic and electronic instruments, Lone Cricket strives to build sonic worlds that create a transcendent state for listeners in an environment composed of sound waves. While reflecting aural textures, rhythms and frequencies found in nature through the use of looping and synthesis, interwoven with traditional playing, he creates a full sound that takes on unique characteristics unlike any definable genre.

Starting his music journey by learning the drums at age 10, and soon after picking up the guitar, LC developed a growing obsession for learning new instruments from both the West and the East. Having an arsenal of tools to create textures, he uses pedals and modular synthesis to create a web of sonic layers, bringing a new life to musical concepts that he loves to explore.

He often begins a session with a low oscillating drone and intimate middle eastern or finger style folk guitar work. Slowly easing listeners into the sonic environment, he begins to loop sections of his playing with guitar pedals and modular synthesis while pitch shifting and reversing the sound to create textures reminiscent of the natural world. A bed of ambient layers grow and grow with elements that interweave and fade from one to another. Often a crescendo of electronic and acoustic drums uplifts listeners with cathartic movement.

Music links in bio.

We are excited to announce the date for an introductory meeting intended as a casual gathering of visual artists in the region to meet each other, exchange information, inspiration, ideas, and to plan for future events. There is no criteria to be met. You can be an interested party, an amateur, recreational shooter, or professional. Everyone interested in the photographic and film making arts are welcome.

From cameras to critiques and aperture to art, this meetup is aimed to strengthen the community around the love of photography and storytelling. This is the first of many meetups to be had, so if you can’t make this one, there will be more.

Our goal is to cultivate conversation and share resources around photographic topics from mentorship, technique, entrepreneurship, and ethics. Your engagement in this meetup will help us gauge viability and interest in future events and build a community support web! Please reach out with any questions and feel free to let us know in the comments section if you plan on attending.

March 3rd is the D.A.I.S.Y. AGE!!!

Today, March 3rd, De La Soul regains control of all the music they made when they first busted out on the scene in 88 at the age of 18.

Support one of the most influential (and one of my top three of all time) groups that gave permission for hip hop to be quirky, eclectic, unapologetically nerdy, and just fun.

Samples are finally cleared after a lot of work on De La’s side. Some songs had even recreated and re-recorded, so not everything is gonna sound exact, but it’s available and “we can get down”!

If you wanna hear the older versions, hit up Discogs or snag it from a friend or come see ya boi at Range! Enjoy the music and spread the love….. DA Inner Sound Y’all!!

RIP Plug 2
Much love to Pos and Maseo

Please read. This is extremely important.

Fayetteville needs a sidewalk from before the first “S” in S Court St to below the “A” in Arts of Love Hope Arts.

There was a fatal accident involving a young pedestrian two nights ago. He was struck by a vehicle while skating down the street. Our hearts pour out to the young man’s family 💔

On the section of road pictured here, there is no sidewalk for pedestrians or any shoulder for bikes, one wheels, scooters, & skateboards to access the businesses at this end of town. This forces foot traffic to share a section of road where there is a speed zone increase from 25mph to 40mph around a blind curve. You can also use Rotan Street with a slower speed zone, but this too has no sidewalks and a blind curve.
A new sidewalk can easily occupy the high side of the curve on Court Street. Furthermore, the 25mph speed zone can be extended until after the Gatewood Rd intersection where visibility is greater and accelerating to higher speeds is safer. This would also keep drivers safe while accessing King Street and the parking lots of local businesses.

If you’ve ever walked to , the 304, , or the previous location of ꪜꫀ᥅ꪗ ᥅ꪖ᥅ꫀ ꪜ꠸ꪀꪻꪖᧁꫀ] using Court Street, then you know how scary this mixture of no sidewalk, a blind curve, and a higher speed zone can be.

Our ask as a local business is that you attend the May 5th town meeting at 6pm where of ꪜꫀ᥅ꪗ ᥅ꪖ᥅ꫀ ꪜ꠸ꪀꪻꪖᧁꫀ] will be speaking about our need for a sidewalk and a reduced speed zone to make our town safer and prevent future accidents, like the one that occurred this past week, from happening.

Please feel free to share your thoughts here, but please…please show up and voice your concerns in person at the meeting. It is the only way we truly make change happen.
Thank you for reading and being a part of the conversation.

Super exciting news!!!!!
We’ve added Passenger Coffee, from Lancaster PA, to our pour list bc they have an amazing selection of dope varietals that are ethically sourced and showcase what is super important in coffee: forging strong relationships with the farmers and producers in countries of origin. Also, Range’s own was born in Lancaster and he feels it’s important to rep where you’re from especially when something of this caliber is involved….okay….okay….the coffee….

Both are lively, wet processed varietals from Mexico 🇲🇽 with complex flavors leaving you’re palate and brain being like WOAH! 🤯

First, we have the El Guayabal Gesha from Jesus Javier’s farm in Veracruz, Mexico. This coffee shows with aromas of jasmine, orchid, and honey balanced by sweet, fruity notes of raspberry, kiwi, and grilled pineapple. 😋

El Guayabal is named for the guava trees that Jesus’ father cultivated on the land before deciding to plant coffee. This is the second consecutive year that Passenger has presented a gesha variety separation from El Guayabal.

Second we have an incredible micro lot from Ricardo Romero, a producer from the Sierra Sur region of the Mexican state of Oaxaca.

This coffee shows with cocoa, dried banana, and wafer cookie on the nose with a deep sweetness and flavors of graham cracker, strawberry, milk chocolate, and cherry jam. 😮

Head to Passenger Coffee’s website and check out the information about Ricardo Romero, Red Beetle Coffee Lab, and Passenger to see what happens when coffee is sourced responsibly! It’s a beautiful thing!!
