☕ Good morning, September.
A new month doesn’t need a dramatic reset.
Sometimes it just needs a fresh cup of coffee, a little gratitude for where you are, and the willingness to take the next step in front of you.
Here at PPK Coffee, we’re starting September the way we know best — roasting coffee, filling orders, thanking God for another day, and probably explaining to Grace why breakfast does not automatically include a second breakfast. 🐾😂
Here’s to a month filled with good coffee, good people and plenty of reasons to be thankful.

As August comes to a close tonight, we're reminded how quickly the days move.
Another month of roasting coffee.
Another month of orders packed.
Another month of conversations, friendships, lessons, blessings—and plenty of moments we never could have planned.
Running a small business teaches you pretty quickly that you don't control everything.
And maybe that's not such a bad lesson.
We can work hard.
We can make plans.
We can do our very best with what we've been given.
And then we trust God with the rest.
Tonight we're simply grateful.
For our family.
For this little coffee company.
For our community.
And for every one of you who continues to invite PPK Coffee into your homes, workplaces and daily routines.
Tomorrow begins another month.
We're excited to see what God has in store.

One of our favorite things about coffee has very little to do with coffee.
It’s the people around the cup.
Coffee has a funny way of becoming part of life's little moments.
The early morning conversation with your spouse.
Catching up with an old friend.
Coffee with coworkers before the day gets crazy.
A quiet cup on the porch.
Sunday morning before church.
Or five peaceful minutes when the whole house finally stops moving. 😂
Those moments are one of the reasons we love what we do.

Why Grind Consistency Matters
You can buy incredible coffee beans…
…but an inconsistent grind can still make your cup taste disappointing. ☕🔬
Here’s why.
When coffee grounds are dramatically different sizes, they don’t extract at the same rate.
The tiny particles can over-extract, bringing bitterness.
The larger pieces may under-extract, leaving sour or weak flavors behind.
The result?
A cup that can taste muddled instead of balanced.
A consistent grind helps water move through your coffee more evenly, giving those chocolate, fruit, caramel, nutty and sweet notes a much better chance to shine.
A simple rule of thumb:
☕ French Press → Coarse
☕ Drip Coffee → Medium
☕ Pour-Over → Medium to Medium-Fine
☕ Espresso → Fine
And remember—grind size is one of the easiest things to adjust when you're dialing in a cup.
Sometimes the difference between “that’s pretty good” and “WOW” is just a few clicks on the grinder.
Fresh coffee deserves a fair shot. ❤️

There’s something we love about Monday mornings. Not necessarily the alarm clock part… we’re not crazy. 😂
But the opportunity to begin again?
That part is pretty special.
A new week means another chance to encourage somebody, lend a hand, chase a goal, spend time with the people you love—and maybe enjoy a really good cup of coffee while you’re doing it.

As Sunday comes to a close, the coffee cups get washed, the lights get turned down and another week is waiting just around the corner.
