We have an important update to share with our community.

After months of preparation for our new sit-down location, we were recently informed by the building owner that the space would not be able to move forward as a commercial kitchen restaurant. Unfortunately, this notification came just one week before we were scheduled to open, after we had already closed our previous functioning location to prepare for the move.

This news has been incredibly difficult for us. We poured everything we had—emotionally and financially—into preparing that space and were so excited to welcome you all into it.

While this situation was completely beyond our control, we believe in being transparent with the community that has supported us from the beginning.

Right now we are taking time to regroup and determine our next steps for Soul Food Hut. We remain committed to finding a path forward and continuing to serve the community that means so much to us.

Your encouragement, messages, and continued support mean more than you know. We hope you will continue to stand with us as we navigate what comes next.

We were really hoping to open our new location next week, but we hit a small setback along the way. The good news? We’re still making progress every single day.

We truly miss seeing you, serving you, and being part of your routine — and we can’t wait to welcome you back. We know this wait isn’t easy, but we promise it’s all going to be worth it when the doors finally open. Thank you for your patience, support, and love. 💛
