ALOK (they/them) is an internationally acclaimed poet, comedian, public speaker, and actor. ALOK’s literary works “Beyond the Gender Binary,” “Femme in Public,” and “Your Wound, My Garden,” have garnered global recognition. Their dynamic presence has captivated audiences in over 40 countries, with sold-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Netflix is a Joke Festival. ALOK's first comedy special BIOLOGY! [alokvmenon.com] was executive produced by Christopher Guest. They are the subject of the docu-short “ALOK” executive produced by Jodie Foster and directed by Alex Hedison, which made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in 2024. On screen, they can also be seen in Complicated Order, The Trans List, and Absolute Dominion (forthcoming). On television, they can be seen on HBO's S*x Lives of College Girls, Sort Of and Random Acts of Flyness, Hulu’s Planet S*x with Cara Delevingne, and Netflix’s Gender Agenda Comedy Special and Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness.

Grab a friend and come paint each other’s portraits at Front Street Taproom! Whether you’re an experienced artist or haven’t picked up a paintbrush since elementary school, this is less about creating a masterpiece and more about having a ridiculously fun night together.

You’ll paint a portrait of your pal to take home forever — for better or worse.

LINEUP UPDATE - Unfortunately, Tommy Brennan is no longer able to make it to Fargo for our show on Friday, September 18th. Geoffrey Asmus will be here to headline that night, so the show will go on as scheduled. Due to this lineup change, we are honoring refund requests for this show through this Friday, August 28th.

MESSAGE FROM TOMMY:
"Hi Fargo- I'm so sorry but I will not be able to make the show on Friday, 9/18. A conflict came up that I can't get around, despite my begging and pleading. Fargo is a top 5 city in America and I would do anything to be there. Good news is that Geoffrey Asmus will still be there and even though he is my sworn enemy, he is unfortunately the best comedian I know. Please forgive me for not being there, I love you all dearly. See you soon. Tommy"

Have something to celebrate? 🥳

We offer the FULL TAPROOM (main floor + mezzanine) for private parties before we open to the public at 4pm for only $100/hr. This is also an option for any timeframe on Sundays!

This option gives you the most room to mingle, a wide drink selection, a pretty setting with high ceilings and natural light, and is handicap accessible.

We schedule a bartender during these private events and have our full drink menu available.

We set up a few extra tables in the entryway area for food, gifts, etc.

There is a 30-minute cushion of time included before and after the reservation for setup and cleanup.

Outside food is allowed, but outside beverages are not.
