Our parking lot looked like old times during today’s Falls Village Car Show! Miss scenes like this since we closed the cafe. We are fortunate to be part of the Car Show Committeee and to provide the event’s motorcycle parking. So much fun! Thanks to everyone who showed up!

Our own Hunt Library and the Center on Main will be hosting tag sales…and ours is right in between them at 85 Main Street! And don’t forget the big Falls Village Car Show this Sunday. T’was the Eve Before Christmas Eve

T’was the Eve before Christmas Eve
And all through the house
Perfection was strived for
(“Clean up that dead mouse!”)
The stockings were hung
Dangling all limp and bare
In hopes that in two days
Small gifts would be there.
With Ma in her kerchief
And I in my jeans
We scrub, polish, vacuum—
Even Uncle Ed cleans!
When out on the lawn
FedEx stopped with a roar!
Thank god Auntie Emily’s
Gift’s at the door!
Hey, the driver’s unloading
So lively and quick
I knew in a moment
He must be St. Nick!
But he has no round face
And his stomach is flat
He jumps in his truck
And takes off just like that.
But I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight
“Spiked eggnog tomorrow, gift assembly all night!”
