Happy Monday, friends! This is a tough post to make, please bare with me. This shop was started with the best of intentions and the highest of hopes to become a staple in this little town I grew up in. I knew business would be tough as a start up, many discouraged me from pursuing this dream I had at all. I did it anyway. Im so proud of what I've built and the transformation of the space (blood, sweat and tears, literally) My favorite part though...the people. People I likely wouldn't have crossed paths with otherwise, who have become such a huge part of my life. Im just so grateful.
The sad reality though, is running a small business is hard, like really hard. With the costs of everything rising, from gas to groceries and utilities, business has slowed. I completely understand why, you save where you can and unnecessary spending is cut...its what we all do. My costs at the shop have also increased dramatically recently, and sadly are just not sustainable. I've exhausted suggestions given to me...price increases, events, extended hours. The math just isn't mathing. If hopes and dreams could keep the doors open, the shop would be eternal. But, at the end of the day, I have a home, a family and my mental health I have to put first.
I do not have a final closing date, but it will be in the near future. I will not be restocking any product, things will run out. Please be patient as I work towards the end of this chapter, this is not something I've done before or planned to do.
With all of that said, thank you again....customers, artisans, vendors. You have been an unforgettable part of this journey and I am eternally grateful ♥️
