Directions from Asheville: Take I-240 E to exit 9 (US-74 ALT E). Continue on US-74 for 5.8 miles. Turn left onto Old US Hwy 74 (before Angelo's restaurant). Park in the gravel parking ribbon in front of the tap house. Please do not park in the Angelo's or Hilltop Ice Cream parking areas. Overflow parking is available at 1288 Charlotte Hwy (accessed from Charlotte Hwy).

Back and better than ever, this Imperial Sour is on a mission to sweeten up your summer. It might seem like we have a crush (and yes it’s serious). If you’ve never experienced this beer that’s truly sent from above now’s your chance. Just don’t get lost in that ABV game. It’s not that innocent. 😈

PϵRCṾ Imperial Fruited Sour:
Pineapple, Raspberry, Coconut, & Vanilla- all flavor systems ready for liftoff! This ambitious fruited imperial sour was named in celebration of NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover . Gaze in wonder at the beauty of a goblet beaming with a reddish pink hue reminiscent of a Mariner Valley sunrise. Descend thru decadent layers of tropical Pineapple, mouth puckering local Raspberry from our friends at Stepp’s Plants Etc , and smooth, sweet Coconut and Vanilla. This otherworldly concoction will have your senses venturing out into depths of the cosmos you never thought possible. Touchdown confirmed!

In the early 2020’s lots of breweries were opening second locations and we kept getting asked when Whistle Hop #2 would come along. To which my answer was always “I do NOT want to move and renovate more train cars if I can avoid it.” 😂 Our Fairview station took years of blood sweat and tears to get it to where it is, and we knew it would take quite a bit of work to make a second location worthy of following in the footsteps of what we’d already built. It would also have to be an exceptionally special spot for us to pour the kind of love into it that we have at our station in our home sweet home of Fairview. I don’t think we ever would have opened a second location if not for a place as near and dear to our hearts as Chimney Rock asking us to come help rebuild Main Street after Helene. And what a special spot our Depot down the gorge is gonna be! Every time I’m down there I find myself feeling so thankful to be eating those words I said just a few years ago. The older I get the more I understand the meaning of the phrase “never say never.” That thing you say you’ll never do is often the exact thing you’ll probably end up doing. 😂❤️

After choosing from our 18 taps featuring nationally ranked award winning beers, you’ll explore our one of a kind taproom surrounded by three acres of fun for all ages. Take in panoramic views of Cane Creek Valley from the seats in our caboose cupola, or check out our vintage train memorabilia and game room lounge in the box car.
