What started as a solo show over 5 years ago with award-winning, Chicago-bred and Asheville-based guitarist/singer/songwriter Mr. Jimmy has evolved into a Monday Night Blues Party. Guitar slinger and the southside of
Chicago native, Hollywood Johnny, joined his old friend Jimmy to form a duo. Soon, they were joined by Patrick Lockett on the Mississippi saxophone (harmonica) and a rock-solid rhythm section of Charlie Wilkinson on bass and Springs Wade on drums. Together, Mr. Jimmy and Friends have become the best-kept secret in Fairview, providing low-down Blues, fun vibes, and good times every Monday at the Joint Next Door!

Rick Hornyak is a singer-songwriter who recently moved to WNC from Austin. His latest album, Dandelion, blends rockin’ guitars with heartfelt, honest lyrics and has been played on radio stations across the country.

His band, the Highway Companions, brings a sound that feels both familiar and fresh. You’ll hear a mix of original music and classic songs from Americana and Classic Rock greats like Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Steve Miller Band, and Chuck Berry.

Kate Leigh Bryant is an educator, violinist/fiddler, and singer-songwriter. She runs a small music lesson studio from her house in West Asheville surrounded by her chaotic gardens and urban paw forest. As a songwriter, she has been featured with The Western Carolina Writers and Open Folk Asheville. Her original music ranges from sentimental folk to rowdy dive bar country. “Roots”, her debut EP, is now available on all your favorite streaming platforms.

Raphael Graves has been performing and recording music in Western North Carolina since 2008, with occasional time spent in theatre and directing music videos. While stylistically a rock vocalist, his work has been a feature in numerous acts throughout the years. From performing tributes to inspirational artists like Jane’s Addiction & Pink Floyd, as well as his current 80’s tribute act, LAZRLUVR, and original multi-genre music, Raphael adapts to diverse demands. Though recently displaced from Asheville, NC in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene (2024), Raphael is still performing, producing and maintaining a fully booked calendar. As of 2025, he has produced and co-produced, four studio records dating back to 2010 and spanning multiple genres. He has won multiple awards in WNC as a vocalist in numerous projects over the years, including being recognized by Asheville, North Carolina’s publication, MountainXpress, as a top vocalist in the region.

Raphael is known for his genre versatility, subversion and commitment, with a chameleon-like ability to navigate vocal and musical stylings across generations. His live performances are often unpredictable and continue to sell out all over North & South Carolina.

From good ole’ Rock n’ Roll to a modern Appalachian Americana sound and beyond, Raphael embraces a spectrum of performance art and storytelling, with themes of love, culture, resilience, and adventure. From weddings to large-scale productions serving thousands, Raphael truly lives and breathes live music, bringing admiration and respect for his craft with him, regardless of the venue size or set volume.
