Today is Erie Gives Day. This event allows members of the community to donate to local non-profit organizations that do great work in our communities.

MYAA is in our 71st year of offering kids of all ages and abilities the opportunity to play baseball. We offer programs from T-ball to Juniors. We are also the only organization in the area to offer an Adaptive Baseball program.

I joined MYAA 11 years ago as Commissioner for the Majors Division I have had the opportunity to work with an amazing team to bring the diamonds alive each spring. I’ve had nearly 1000 kids play in my Division and my All Star teams have won Mayor’s Cups and Little League State Championships. But more importantly, I’ve watched from afar as my former players took the field for their High Schools or local colleges and grew into incredible young adults that shine not just on the field, but in their community. My own son and daughter cut their teeth on the Walnut Creek fields and their childhood teammates became their best friends…still to this day. Wins and losses are forgotten, but the smiles that I have seen are always remembered.
