Restaurant work is hard. It's taxing mentally and physically. There's a million things to do even before one guest steps in the room. A million problems to solve and fires to put out each week.
But I love it.
We get to be a part of people's memories, traditions, and so many other stories. I hear people say "Our first date was at Dragonfly" or "I shared my diagnosis sitting at that table". I will never know how our little restaurant is woven into hundreds of stories somehow.
Food brings people together.
I love that.
I see so much goodness in people.
Today a lady was asking the price of an item and another lady overheard her and asked to pay her bill. They hugged when she left. Complete strangers now having a bond formed from kindness. 🫶
There's so many good people out there. I will start sharing more behind the scenes stories and conversations.
Y'all need to know more about what goes on behind the curtain at Dragonfly.
I will be there tomorrow, for lunch and dinner. I hope I get to see you!!
