Today, we gather to remember the events of September 11, 2001—a day that changed our nation forever. On that morning, we faced unimaginable tragedy, and yet, in the midst of shock and sorrow, we witnessed extraordinary courage. Across New York City, Washington, D.C., and the fields of Pennsylvania, first responders and ordinary citizens alike rose to meet the moment with heroism.
Firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and countless others ran toward danger to save lives. They showed us the true meaning of bravery and selflessness, and many of them made the ultimate sacrifice. Their actions reminded us of the strength of the human spirit and the unity that can rise from tragedy.
We also honor the families, survivors, and all who have carried the weight of that day ever since. The legacy of 9/11 is not only one of loss, but of resilience, compassion, and the unwavering commitment to serve and protect.
As we reflect today, let us remember the lives lost, express our gratitude to those who sacrificed so much, and recommit ourselves to the values of courage and community that shone so brightly 25 years ago. To all first responders—then and now—thank you for your service and for being the embodiment of hope in our darkest hours.
🇺🇸We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
