It’s your favorite outsider from NC, Sandra 💁🏻‍♀️ back again with the hard questions 😏Once again, what are dippy eggs 😩 I just had a customer (local) today overly explain that they are in fact over easy eggs 🍳….my eye twitched and I needed my emotional support iced coffee 😂 I love this state but good grief 😅🤪

BREAKING: Pennsylvania residents once again remind outsiders that these are dippy eggs and we will not be accepting additional terminology at this time.

You can call them “sunny-side up.” You can call them “fried eggs with a runny yolk.” You can bring in Gordon Ramsay, the entire faculty of the Culinary Institute of America and a federal agent carrying a 600-page document titled Official Egg Terminology of the United States. Nobody cares. Those are dippy eggs.

The instructions are literally in the name.
You dip the toast. Then you dip another piece because you completely screwed up the yolk to toast ratio. Eventually you're dragging anything within six inches of the plate through the yolk like Pennsylvania has temporarily suspended table manners.

Your grandmother called them dippy eggs. The waitress at the diner calls them dippy eggs. The guy sitting three stools down who has been drinking coffee there every morning calls them dippy eggs. “Sunny-side up” sounds like something served beside a $19 avocado at brunch.

These are dippy eggs.
Butter the toast and stop asking questions.

Hey, folks! We unfortunately will have to close tomorrow August 13 Thursday. Our fridge decided to stop working 🙃 we are working to get someone in to repair but most likely it will be tomorrow. Many apologies for the inconvenience and it’s like old say goes, “when it rains, it pours” please share!
