It has been 9 months since LUNCH Café closed its doors for good. We miss seeing you and creating healthy yummy foods for you. The good thing, Oishi Bakery https://www.facebook.com/OISHIBAKERYAK/is operating out of the same space now, producing unique baked goods to Fairbanks. They are open Tuesday-Sunday 12-6
Check them out, you will be glad that you did.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Your response to the closing of the Café part of the operation, has been quite humbling. Some of you suggested that a cookbook ought to be written. I have been working on one since the early 90's and I finally figured out its genre (cuisine) something for everyone and format (leaving this as a surprise.) Obviously my literary skills are sloth-like.
Although the café will be closing on Saturday, I will be concentrating on the Diving Duck coffee production but will never stop thinking of ways to bring affordable, local, e good quality, healthy, intelligent and most important, delicious fare to this community. it maybe in special pop-up events, farmer markets, or community potlucks, or all of the above. i have been very fortunate to have been surrounded by creative, and kind people at work and family and friends who have supported me unconditionally.
I will continue to post things of interest on the LUNCH and Diving Duck page, as well send updates to those who are not regular facebookers and have shared their favorite mode of communication.

Dear Friends,

After 9 beautiful years of serving Fairbanks, this Saturday 8/10/19, will be our last day of business. Please come in for one last treat. We’d love to see you, and say goodbye.

And rest assured coffee lovers, Diving Duck will continue roasting organic fair-trade coffee - which can be picked up here at 206 Driveway St, or through many fine partner stores in Fairbanks.

August non-profit is Forget Me Not Farm Sanctuary 🌱🐷🐔🐮🐣🐰✨💗 they rescue animals in Alaska and provide them with a loving place to live the rest of their lives. Come by this month to donate to their sanctuary!! They are based in Eagle River if you ever want to volunteer! 🙂
