Danke, Fairbanks!

This year’s Oktoberfest kick-off was one for the books. Jade Nelson unveiled her Oktoberfest 2026 artwork; Mayors O’Neall and Hopkins helped us tap the ceremonial firkin of our fest Lager; we held the first preliminary round of stein holding; we ate mountains of tasty, traditional German food; and in just one day we sold out of this year’s steins.

Saturday was only the beginning. Stay tuned for more stein holding, pretzel cutting, trivia, yodeling, bratwurst catching, and liters upon liters of great beer.

Oktoberfest is all about coming together with friends and family to celebrate over some tasty brews and great games, and we’re so happy to be here celebrating with you again this year.

HooDoo Oktoberfest Lager is our take on a traditional Oktoberfest Marzen Lager.

Brewed according to Reinheitsgebot (the Bavarian beer purity law) using the best malt on Earth from Weyermann in Bamberg, the rich, complex malt flavor is incomparably delicious, yet so…so smooth. Hopped for balance in the boil kettle with the finest Hallertauer hops from Bavaria, then fermented with our favorite lager yeast strain, this beautiful beer has satisfying depth and is best enjoyed by the liter, but a pint works too! On tap Saturday 9/19 at Noon.

Jade Nelson will join us to unveil her beautiful Oktoberfest artwork, and Mayor Hopkins will swing the hammer and tap the cask of Oktoberfest lager at Noon.

But wait, there’s more…the HooDoo Bier Hall opens at 11am, and the first Stein Holding qualifying round starts at 2pm!

It’s going to be a great couple of weeks - PROST!!

Oktoberfest kicks off this Saturday, and the 2026 Steins are in!

We love these Kannenbacker 1 Liter Maßkrugs. The Kannenbacker region of Germany is considered the birthplace of the German beer stein and has been producing some of the finest pottery around for 600 years or so. There is nothing quite like drinking a fine lager out of a well made German beer stein…

These beauties feature some groovy birch trees from Jade Nelson’s awesome Oktoberfest painting and will be available in the Taproom when we open the doors at 11am on Saturday, September 19th.

Oktoberfest kicks off on Saturday 9/19 at HooDoo! Mayor Hopkins will tap the first cask of Oktoberfest Lager at noon, and the festivities begin! O’zapft is!

We have a few games lined up for a chance to win Oktoberfest Glory (and maybe a prize or two) - Stein Holding, Pretzel Cutting, Yodeling, Okto Trivia and Brat Toss will all test you in ways you have never been tested. Happy Saturday, Fairbanks! Back by popular demand, this week we’re tapping into a fresh cask of jalapeño IPA. We added a pair of chopped jalapeño peppers to ten gallons of our classic American IPA, where they’ve been conditioning for a few weeks to lend the beer a hint of pepper flavor and a delightfully spicy kick. Taps at Noon - stop in for a pint before it’s gone.

Happy Saturday, Fairbanks! This week’s cask will wake you up for the weekend: our balanced and beautiful American IPA, conditioned with house-made cold-brew coffee from our friends over at McCafferty’s. If you love coffee almost as much as you love beer, this one is a fan favorite and a delicious combination you won’t want to miss - taps at Noon sharp!

Labor Day plans? We’re shaking up our schedule a little and opening the Taproom from 11-9pm on Monday 9/7 - come grab a beer!

The countdown begins! Oktoberfest in Germany kicks off in just three short weeks, on September 19th, and the HooDoo crew is gearing up to bring you sixteen days of Gemütlichkeit right here at your local Biergarten. Our Oktoberfest Lager is maturing beautifully in the tank, and we have some really fun things planned this year - stay tuned for details next week.

We have a few tasty American IPA casks in the coldbox to lead us up to Oktoberfest kickoff on Saturday 9/19. Today, we’ll tap a firkin of IPA conditioned on fresh grapefruit. Refreshingly citrussy & delicious - taps at Noon sharp.
