The proverbial ā€œTorchā€ has officially been passedā€¦
An era has ended and a new chapter beginsā€¦
After 5 days of intense packing, we finally got all of our stuff packed up and moved out, which, I can assure you, was no small task. Itā€™s incredible how much ā€œstuffā€ you accumulate over the years.
We took a final walk through the kitchen and dining room, reminiscing, laughing, crying, ponderingā€¦Then, the very last item to be removed, the last act before we left, the saddest taskā€¦taking Marianoā€™s picture down from the wallā€¦šŸ’”
So many memories, so much emotionā€¦But through it all, one thing is constant and true and thatā€™s, all the Love! It continues to be present and everlastingā€¦
For that beautiful blessing, I want to say ā€œThank youā€ and thank you for all the amazing, heartfelt messages! One by one Iā€™m reading them, and one by one I will reply!
Each one is so very, very special!
I just want to say, as sad as this week has been, I am reminded of the many blessings Mariano and I have received over the years. So many wonderful friends, beautiful relationships and a tremendous amount of love! A big thank you to all of you for your love and support throughout the years.
Also, I will tell you right now, in case you havenā€™t noticed, Iā€™m not good with goodbyes! With that being said, I will continue to post on this page and do my best to stay in touch with all of you!

Talk about a bittersweet dayā€¦
On this third anniversary of losing Mariano, I also have the difficult task of announcing that we will not be reopening.
I will be passing the torch to a new restaurant which will be making their home in this location.
I say itā€™s bittersweet because I feel like Mariano knew that I was facing a number of challenges and he knew I was having a difficult time trying to decide how to move forward. I knew he loved this place! As you all know, he put his heart and soul into it, I knew this and I didnā€™t want to let it go, because I felt like I was letting him down. I was really struggling with making the right decision. But this week, of all weeks, as we were approaching Marianoā€™s anniversary everything came together. I feel like it was a sign from him, like he was giving me his blessing and telling me itā€™s ok, you did well, itā€™s time to let go.
I have to be honest, Iā€™m very sad to see it go, but I feel relieved at the same time. i have almost a lifetime of memories here, our children practically grew up in this place, so much has happened in the 16 years that we were here, culminating with the loss of Mariano, Itā€™s so very hard to turn the page and close this chapter of my life.
I have a very hard time accepting change and the older I get the worse it is. I will miss all of you so much, I canā€™t even begin to tell you. Iā€™m so grateful for all of you and the presence you have had in my life and the life of my family. Thank you so much for supporting our business through these many years and especially for helping me get through the last 3 years without Mariano.
I love you all! ā¤ļø
As of this Friday, May 1st, a new restaurant will be occupying this space. They will introduce their own exciting menu along with their amazing recipes.
Iā€™m not sure of their exact opening date but I will keep you posted as details become available.
I hope you will join me in supporting them and in wishing them well! šŸ˜‡
