74 years of marriage! How about that!!!
Today we celebrate our parents, Bill and Phillis Brown’s 74th wedding anniversary. That’s a milestone to say the least. We wont talk about their age but we hope you will join in and help us celebrate a very very very long life of marriage. (Don’t know how our Dad has survived but he has🤣)
We’d say overall it’s been a wonderful life together.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY from the Brown girls and the Whistle Pig Team🥳🎉🥂

Join us NEXT WEEK for County Fair Week, Tuesday, Sept 8th through Saturday, Sept 12th, as we celebrate one of America’s long-standing country traditions. 🎡🎪🎠🎆🎢🤝

County fairs began in the early 1800s as gatherings where farmers could show livestock, share ideas, improve everyday life, and take pride in the work of local hands.

Long before the rides, games, ribbons, and fair food, they were a way for neighbors to come together, learn from one another, and celebrate the people who helped keep their communities going.

Over time, county fairs grew into something even bigger - animals, blue ribbons, food booths, music, games, handmade goods, and memories made with family and friends. But at the heart of it all, county fairs have always been about community.

For a whole week at the Pig, we’re honoring that same spirit with a variety of fair food favorites. Follow us on Facebook to see what’s cooking each day! 🌭

Stop in, sit a spell, and celebrate county fairs with us!

Looks like the Whistle Pig made it to Juneau, Alaska. Two of our favorites, Burt and Julie, repping our Appalachian Groundhog in the state of Alaska. We sure hope they’ve had a wonderful trip so far and we wish them safe travels on their long journey home. Can’t wait to see them and hear about their Alaskan adventures.
We love these two💕
(By the way Burt Jr. has shown up early for breakfast a few mornings but his name is not in the computer yet🤣Squirrel has missed Burt. She’s had withdrawals not making his regular breakfast sandwich🤦🏼‍♀️)
