It was an incredible community turnout this past Sunday. With every ice cream purchase, you helped us raise $8000 towards Hurricane relief efforts in Ka’ū.

Big mahalo to everyone who came out to support—especially to those from Ka’ū who came out to talk story with us and shared that they grew up or have ‘ohana in Nā’ālehu & Ka’ū. This is why we do what we do ♥️

❤️‍🩹 KŌKUA KA’Ū ~ This Sunday (August 23rd) we’ll be donating 100% of all ice cream sales to support those affected by Hurricane Lala in Ka’ū ‘Iewe Hānau o ka ‘Āina & Nā’ālehu Hongwanji.

Kaʻū, the southernmost district of Hawaiʻi Island, was catastrophically affected by Hurricane Lala. Pāhala, Wood Valley, Ocean View and South Point (Ka Lae) were severely damaged, and the communities of Nāʻālehu and Waiʻōhinu were destroyed beyond recognition.

Kaʻū is a uniquely special place, and special to us - we’ve had family living here since the early 1900’s. It’s a place full of hard working, humble, and resilient people, whose lives have now been forever changed by this disaster. It will take months and years to rebuild this special place that’s rich in culture, resilience and heart.

As a small-business, we want to do what we can to kōkua. Providing resources to ‘Iewe Hānau o ka ‘Āina, based in Ka’ū, and Nā’ālehu Hongwanji, will support efforts on the ground, going straight to the community in need.
