Coffee with a Cop Connecting Community to Support Services
The Evansville Police Department and the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office will host the next Coffee With a Cop event on Tuesday, April 21st from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Donut Bank located at 1200 Lincoln Avenue.
In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, this event will focus on connecting community members with local organizations that provide support, advocacy, and resources for victims of sexual violence. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with representatives, ask questions, and learn more about available services in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Members from the office of Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry will also be in attendance, along with members of the following participating organizations:
• Vanderburgh County Prosecutor's Office Victim Assistance Program
• Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office Victim Services
• Albion Fellows Bacon Center
• Holly's House
• YWCA Evansville
Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve through open conversation and meaningful engagement. Community members are encouraged to stop by, enjoy a cup of coffee, and connect with both officers and local resource providers.
