This Hispanic Heritage Month, weâre proud to celebrate Owner/Operators Janet Rodriguez and Ivan Carvajal and the Cuban-American heritage that has helped shape their story.
For Janet and Ivan, family, hard work and supporting others are more than values, theyâre deeply rooted in how they were raised and how they choose to lead today.
Janet often credits her upbringing, and especially her father, with teaching her the importance of connecting with people, creating opportunities and using what you have to make a difference. Those lessons have followed her from her early career in corporate marketing and as a bilingual teacher, to becoming a McDonaldâs Owner/Operator alongside Ivan.
Ivanâs story is one of perseverance, determination and a willingness to embrace new opportunities. After earning his masterâs degree in computer science and building a successful career in technology, he brought that experience to McDonaldâs, where he now contributes to national teams focused on technology and software development across the System.
Both Ivan and Janet serve with the McDonaldâs Hispanic Operators Association (MHOA), supporting its work to strengthen and build meaningful connections within their communities.
Together, Janet and Ivan have built a family business centered around people. Whether theyâre investing in their restaurant teams, supporting local organizations or finding new ways to give back, their commitment to family and community is at the heart of what they do.
During Hispanic Heritage Month, weâre proud to celebrate Janet and Ivan, their Cuban-American roots and the legacy they continue to build for their family, their people and the communities they call home!
