Just a quick reminder that Coffee Talk is happening today at The Old Steeple in Ferndale.

Join Luci Ramirez, owner of Familia Coffee and Humboldt Bay Coffee, and Mike Smith, longtime roaster at Humboldt Bay Coffee, for a relaxed afternoon of coffee, stories, and conversation about where coffee comes from and the people behind every cup.

They’ll be sharing stories from visiting coffee farms and producers in Africa and South America, along with a closer look at how we as coffee drinkers can make a real impact through the choices we make.

There will be pour overs, coffee cupping, gift bags, and plenty of good coffee conversation.

We have lost an important part of our Family❤️

OLIVER "olliepants" the coffee dog.

He loved all you coffee lovers in our community, he was a great doggie and huge part of our everyday office days. He will be missed❤️

We are still reflecting on this trip.

ETHIOPIA🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹

WHAT AN HONOR, it was truly amazing to see o e of our favorite coffees at origin.

We visited and we were greeted by elders, this was such an honor.

We learned about Gadaa is the indigenous system of governance used by the Oromos in Ethiopia.... so amazing to learn about a community that based in respect for each other.

The people were amazing and the coffee too.

I took a roasting masterclass. With .mariaelena

We did some sample roasting, production roasting, cupping for defects, the most magical part was to be in a room full of women who represent different parts of the supply chain.

We spent the day together talking about coffee.☕️❤️

We recently traveled to Peru to visit and we cannot express how grateful we are for this experience. With over a decade as coffee roasters we have dreamed of taking trips like this and finally we are doing it! It is extremely humbling to see coffee being grown at the source. To see all the hard work that goes into the coffee we drink is so important for many reasons. We

This is a very small description of what is globally going on in coffee. I hope it is helpful, if you are around this weekend we have arts alive and participating in Open Studios doing tasting and sample roasting and some or as much coffee talk anybody wants❤️☕️

There many things that I have learned through coffee. One thing is for certain I Love the community of coffee. There is something very special about being able to connect with people globally everyday through one cup.
