Burahhh…me too man, me too😝 I’m taking it as a good sign that our food and customer service are great, and the main thing dragging us down is our subpar interior.
I think it’s safe to say that I wish more than anyone else that our establishment could get an update😜 But the reality of running a business is this: even though we have enough sales to pay for repairs and upgrades in one shift, our actual profit is 2-3% of our sales. That’s just the reality of running a restaurant business that makes almost everything from scratch and operates at the volume we do. Plus, this economy, amirite?
BUT this post is not about the “woe is me” aspects of the business, because I know I signed up for this wholeheartedly (although I did want to point out the realities of this business because alas, I will die on the hill of more understanding and grace in this world). The point is to announce that WE GOT A NEW WINDOW!
When we moved into the building, the insulation had failed and resulted in this one window looking like it hadn’t gotten a washing since 1989. And I’m proud to announce that it only took two years to make it happen!🤪
In all seriousness though, I wanted to thank our crew for always being game. We took on a TON of events and caterings this year to try and build up savings to spend on fun things like essential repairs and upgrades. And a big mahalo to our landlord who offered to fix the walk in freezer despite it not being in the contract. And last but not least, every single one of YOU GUYS who lift us up every day, whether it be coming in to grab food, or spreading the aloha, or leaving a nice comment on our posts.
Apparently it takes a village to raise a child, AND to raise a restaurant🩵🍍 I LOVE YOU ALL, frfr.
PS: yes, I know our floors are in need of repair. That is up next baby! (maybe in another two years😝)
PPS: absolutely no hate to the person who made this review. They gave us 4/5 stars overall and were just voicing their honest opinion which I agree with! We need some upgrades and repairs🤙🏽
