BALDACCI FAMILY VINEYARDS, FRATERNITY RED BLEND, NAPA VALLEY 2021

W**emaker Notes: The 2021 vintage was a personal milestone for me as it marked a decade at the w**ery. My goal with this vintage was to convey a serious and elegant expression of the grape varieties and terroir that we work with throughout Napa Valley’s diverse AVAs. A smooth growing season with low precipitation yielded smaller grapes with intensely concentrated flavors and smaller yields per vine. Quality was high across the board and the w**es are approachable and complex now, with the concentration and structure to age. - Michael Baldacci 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Petit Verdot, 9% Syrah, 25% Merlot and .75% Cabernet Franc

Decanter, 94 Points: A burst of freshness follows intense savoury black olive, cedar, vanilla bean, and woodsmoke. Medium to full-bodied, showing the vintage's freshness but imbued with more finesse than density, more energy than power, and resplendent savoury qualities like green to***co, capsicum, and olive.

96 POINTS, THE TASTING PANEL MAGAZINE
Bold, dusty notes of plum skin, slate, new leather, and blackberry preserves masterfully spread across the mouth. Acidity is notably keen, allowing the powdered tannins to texturize the palate. A pedigreed red. Publisher's Picks.

94 POINTS, W**E ENTHUSIAST
Superripe flavors of dried cherries, dried plums and black figs are matched by moderate tannins in this very full-bodied, rich and generously textured w**e. It melts in the mouth, saturated with chocolate, mint and vanilla notes that add to the luscious black fruits.

2016 Olivier Rivière "Cadastro" Arlanza Castilla y León

With about 25 hectares of rented and owned vineyards in Rioja Alta, Rioja Baja and Rioja Alavesa, both making his own w**es and consulting with other producers, it would be an understatement to say that Olivier Rivière is busy. Originally lured to Spain in 2004 by Telmo Rodriguez to convert his vineyards to biodynamics, he started his own project in 2006, trading his farming talents for access to grapes from the best sites he could locate. The 2016 El Cadastro is a blend made from four parcels of old vines that were planted in the 1930s and 1950s in the somewhat new appellation of Arlanza, close to Ribera del Duero. As was the custom at the time, these mainly tempranillo vineyards are co-planted with smaller percentages of other varieties.

94 pts…W**e Advocate…The impressive red 2016 El Cadastro, which has the subtitle Viñas de Sierra (mountain vineyards), is an old-vine cuvée from a cooler year. This is balanced and serious, with depth and nuance, still young and unevolved, beautifully textured and with a seamless palate where the w**e combines power and elegance. There is terrific balance and a dry, chalky finish. Very impressive

93 pts…Vinous…Deep garnet. Mineral- and smoke-accented dark berry, cherry cola and floral scents show fine clarity and spicy lift. Well-concentrated and chewy in texture, offering sweet blackberry, cherry preserve and licorice flavors and hints of spicecake and candied flowers. Closes on an appealingly sweet note, with slow-building tannins and strong, smoky persistence.

92 pts …Jeb Dubnick…From vines just outside of Ribera Del Douro, the 2016 El Cadastro is mostly Tempranillo yet includes 5% Garnacha. Aged 24 months in 10% demi-muids, it has a complex nose of white pepper, dried earth, blackberries, and black cherries. Elegant, medium to full-bodied, and balanced, it has a notable sense of minerality, light tannins, and a great finish. It’s a serious w**e as well as a great value.

The 2016 “Cadastro” Arlanza is an excellent example of this philosophy: neither overly extracted nor oak-driven, it is energetic and expressive, with loads of upfront plum, orange peel and fig alongside savory dried herbs and licorice. A small amount of Garnacha interplanted in the vineyards adds juicy red cherry and strawberry notes, while several years of bottle age have softened the tannins. For lovers of Rioja and Ribera del Duero, Arlanza is a region worth exploring, and w**es like this prove that you can get the old-vine character, intensity and complexity of those more famous regions without paying a premium for name recognition.

Merry Edwards Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2023

W**EMAKER'S NOTES
Our Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a textbook example of the fine w**es that come from grapes grown near our coastal boundaries. Cooling fog and our proximity to the Pacific Ocean allow fruit to ripen slowly and evenly. The 2023 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir opens with gentle aromas of cedar, vanilla and Bing cherry that are followed by floral notes of freesia and violets. Spicy white pepper and bramble precede the silky entry. The palate is mouthwatering and structured, with uplifting flavors of Rainier cherry pie, blood orange zest and wild strawberries. The finish is marked by pleasant, lingering citrus notes.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
95 Points
"An expressive, well-built, medium-bodied w**e with a wonderful range of aromas, showing wild raspberries and blackberries, plums, moss and rose petals, as well as violets, pine forest floor and iron. The structured palate has a pleasing balance of fresh acidity and firm tannins." Courtney Humiston, JamesSuckling.com, Jan. 2026
95 Points
"It is decidedly red-fruit driven, showing real crispness and crunch, led by cranberry and pomegranate, with an earthy, clove-tinged loamy richness that complements the bright fruit profile. On the palate, the w**e is medium-bodied and highly expressive, with vivid blood orange and grapefruit zest notes, underpinned by loads of freshness and stony mineral nuances that carry through the finish." Jonathan Cristaldi, Decanter, Jan. 2026

95 Points
"Concentrated and earthy, with black tea and plum blossoms riding along on silky tannins. To***co, dried lavender, and persimmon create a complex network of flavors." Meridith May, Tasting Panel magazine, July 2026
93 Points

2023 Reputation, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa
(Stags Leap & Rutherford )

94pts - James Suckling - "Iodine, seashells and black cherries with hints of pencil. Medium-bodied with medium tannins and a creamy, refined finish. Shows tension and finesse. A blend of 87% cabernet sauvignon with cabernet franc, merlot and petit verdot. Drink or hold."

"Medium bodied and almost silky, this Cabernet Sauvignon delivers the range of interest and classic character so intrinsic to Napa Cabernet. Black fruits and graphite, resinous and savory herbs, and an accent of octopus ink make for a complex of flavors that has intrigue as much as refinement. Will continue to gain complexity with age, and can be enjoyed now with decanting and a meal." —W**e Enthusiast 93 pts

Crafted during a remarkably long, cool growing season in Napa Valley, this elegant Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the true magic of patient w**emaking. A traditional blend bolstered by a touch of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, it offers beautifully smooth, velvety tannins and vibrant dark fruit character. You will love how rich black currant and dark plum seamlessly mingle with subtle cedar and soft cocoa notes in every sip. It is an ideal bottle to pour alongside a juicy steak or share around the table during a cozy dinner with friends.

Featuring a deep, rich garnet color, indicative of its concentrated flavors. On the nose, this Cabernet Sauvignon offers a complex bouquet of dark fruits such as blackcurrant, black cherry, and a hint of ripe plum, beautifully interwoven with sophisticated notes of cedar, to***co, and dark chocolate. These aromas are complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and spice, a testament to its careful aging in premium French oak barrels. The palate is robust and full-bodied, with a velvety texture that carries the intense flavors of dark berries, complemented by well-integrated tannins and a balanced acidity that adds longevity and poise. The finish is long and memorable, with lingering notes of espresso and a hint of minerality, making this 2023 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon a truly exquisite w**e, ideal for special occasions or further cellaring to enhance its complexity.

• 94 pts James Suckling
Savory berries with aromas of white pepper, blood orange peel, preserved plums, iron and a touch of dust. Still pretty structured and intense, with a medium to full body, but juicy and long.
• 94pts Robert Parker's W**e Advocate
The 2016 Viña Cubillo Tinto Crianza was surprising, spectacular, elegant, clean and fresh like few vintages before. It was a superb year, with quality, quantity and freshness. It's quite the opposite from the previous 2015, which was a much warmer and riper year. The 2016s have moderate alcohol and especially the perception of less ripeness (even though the alcohol is very similar). It feels very young, still quite primary. Mercedes explained, "Cubillas, a 24-hectare plot, is a vineyard that could produce Gran Reserva w**es. It's a very good vineyard, but we would miss the Crianza in our range". In fact, the comment was that this vintage is even a challenge for the Viña Tondonia red "because of its price." It is indeed a bargain. "But it doesn't have the finesse of Tondonia," concluded María José. Anyway, it's super tasty.

Shug W**ery, 2022 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Schug W**ery was founded in 1980 with unwavering dedication to Pinot Noir excellence—a specialization that spans 45 years and sets them apart from generalist w**eries. Walter Schug, the legendary w**emaker who created Joseph Phelps' iconic Insignia, established his legacy in Carneros, where low-intervention Old World w**emaking meets California terroir.
What makes Schug exceptional is their genuine commitment to specialization and authenticity. While others spread their focus across multiple varietals, they've perfected their craft with nearly half a century devoted to exceptional Pinot Noir. This deep expertise, combined with their European w**emaking tradition and compelling value proposition, has driven their national expansion and established Schug as a trusted name among w**e enthusiasts who appreciate both heritage and quality.
W**emaker Notes
This 100% Pinot Noir cuvée reflects the cool and windy microclimate of the Sonoma Coast AVA. The climate and terroir here provide ideal conditions for low yields (equating to more flavor intensity) and longer hangtimes (allowing Pinot Noir grapes to reach maturity while retaining their natural acidity and preserving the bright flavors of red cherries and raspberries). Schug ensures the elegant expression in this Pinot Noir by aging in large neutral oak casks, stainless steel, and older French oak barrels to keep new oak flavors to a minimum. Lively acidity on the finish makes it an ideal accompaniment to grilled fish and fowl or barbecued meats.
• 93 PTS Tasting Panel Woodsy and earthy, with a seamless mouthfeel. Cocoa powder dusts soil, to***co, and dark cherry on the palate before the finish of spiced cedar.
•
• 93 PTS W**e Enthusiast Well-structured, this textural and delicious w**e fills the mouth with grippy tannins, snappy raspberries, black tea and rhubarb. Although not too deep in color, it has a full body and lots of flavor impact. Plus, the w**e is available in quantity at an affordable price. Pair with braised lamb shanks or mushroom risotto.Editors' Choice

OAK RIDGE W**ERY ESTATE GROWN OLD VINE ZINFANDEL, LODI
W**ERY NOTES
An old vine Zinfandel from Lodi's oldest operating w**ery that offers a robust and delicious expression of California's unique terroir. Jammy with raspberry, milk chocolate and mocha flavors, soft tannins and a supple mouth feel.

THE W**E Aromas of blackberry and bing cherry with ample dark fruits on the palate, accented by notes of vanilla bean and cinnamon spice. Approachable and smooth with a rich mouthfeel. THE VINEYARDS The fruit for OZV Zinfandel is sourced entirely from our sustainably farmed, family-owned estate vineyards in Lodi, CA. Lodi enjoys warm days and cool nights which allows the grapes to fully ripen while maintaining their natural acidity.
THE VINTAGE The 2022 season was not without challenges. Variable spring weather affected sensitive varieties, but yields were about average. Harvest was punctuated by an extended heat wave in early September, leading to a scramble to get fruit off the vine. Regardless, fruit quality looks exceptional, with added complexity and intensity. COMPOSITION 80% Zinfandel, 10% Petite Sirah 5% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot
94 pts W**e Enthusiast
This w**e is fresh and vibrant, with aromas of dark cherry, raspberry, clove, black tea, violet and notes of toasted vanilla. Pair with smoked brisket, BBQ sauce, coleslaw, porterhouse rolls.
Oak Ridge Family
Farming is the basis of all that we do, and I feel truly blessed to be on this path that my great-grandfather, Angelo Maggio, began in 1906. Oak Ridge is a multigenerational, family-owned estate established by Italian immigrants Angelo and Louise Maggio. They planted their first vines in 1928 and built their w**ery in 1934. Originally part of a cooperative that supplied fruit to w**emakers all over the country, Oak Ridge was run by Angelo, his son, Roy, and later his grandson Rudy. oday, Rudy’s three daughters oversee all operations at Oak Ridge and have increased the family’s vineyard holdings to over 2500 acres, all located in the Lodi AVA.

Massimo Rivetti 2013 Pierinvaletta Barbaresco, Piedemonte, Italy

2013 Barbaresco is a terrific example of the vintage at its best. The aromatics alone are enticing. Sweet dark cherry, plum, sage, lavender, rose petal mint and licorice give the 2013 a dark, mysterious quality that is hard to fully describe. Deep and yet also weightless as only Nebbiolo can be, the 2013 hits all right notes. This is a vivid and impeccable Barbaresco

Pierinvaletta Barbaresco is made from 100% Nebbiolo
Rich, Full bodied, Intense.
Pierin Valetta is one of the ancestor of the Family and these w**es are dedicated to him as we would like to thank him for giving us vineyards that reach up to 70 years old.
Made from 70 years old vines planted on clay soils.
Aged 30 months in French and Slovanian Oak barrels.
W**e wasn't filtered before bottling.

Rivetti Massimo is committed to biodiversity. No herbicides are used; herb mowing is done manually, utilizing 20+ varieties of herbs that act as natural fertilizer. They use no pesticides, instead relying on ‘sexual confusion’, a natural method that uses pheromones to discourage insect reproduction, and hand harvesting of ‘noctue’ (worms). Harvest is manual, and fermentation is natural with indigenous yeasts. They only use minimal sulphates; clarification and filtration are only done when necessary (red w**es are often bottled with no filtration).
