Many of you know and love Dude Looks Like Elote, but we took it off the menu a while ago. Happy to report he’s back, but with a different name. Here is Drewd Looks Like Elote - named after a regular, Drew, who was missing it. Cheers, Drew (and all who love it)!

Drewd Looks Like Elote:
Mexican Crema, roasted corn, smoked paprika, chicken chorizo, chihuahua cheese, with post-bake cilantro, cotija and fresh-squeezed lime

We have some cool ideas brewing. Would you be interested in hands-on culinary workshops where you learn professional techniques and leave with the skills (and recipes) to make great pizza at home? The small, intimate classes would be great for interactive dates, girls nights, corporate events, team building workshops, etc. Please let us know in the comments below. 🙏

A really important aspect of business is finding the right people who make sure the restaurant runs (well) when the owners/operators (Mike and Bob) can’t be there. We have so many of those vital roles at WP. Today’s post is about Shiloh. He does a lot of the prep AND makes puffs when Bob has to be away from time to time. He came to WP as a graduate from culinary school and he’s been with Bob in the kitchen training for over a year. He just gets it and he does a great job. Thank you for stepping in at the oven a few times this week, Shiloh. You and Andrew make a great team.

🍽️ 29 CENTRAL ILLINOIS RESTAURANTS WORTH THE DRIVE

We asked Channel 309 followers where they’d send someone for a meal worth getting in the car for — and this is the list we ended up with.

Not necessarily the fanciest places. Not necessarily the newest places. Just restaurants people repeatedly said were worth making the trip for.

And we didn’t stop at the restaurant names — we included what people said to order, too. 👀
