Good morning, and happy Thursday friends!
The shop is looking a little different today because we got some shirts in to celebrate our upcoming 5 year anniversary! 🎉
These are 100% cotton, black t-shirts with a chest pocket, inspired by the coffee bar’s energy throughout the last 5 years and Taoist spirituality and philosophy.
In Taoist spirituality the Earth element is that place of stillness between Yin and Yang. In the I’Ching it is represented by Absolute Yin in the Earth trigram and understood as the ultimate Yin power of existence that binds the universe together. It is the power that holds and harmonizes everything together from the molecular level to the realm of the stars, planets, and galaxies. (Gilles Marin)

Within // Every time, I prepare myself a cup of coffee, and I take a moment before taking that first sip to smell the coffee, I recalibrate to the here and now. Nothing else exists. It’s the one moment my mind respects. Working with coffee also calls the same quality from within, to be present, to be aware, to be attuned. It’s a little (or maybe a lot) different than the hustle, bustle, and highs the coffee industry pushes.
Without // The walls that hold the coffee bar have held so much, it feels magical. They’ve held fun, and light hearted conversations. They’ve held reflective, philosophical conversations. They’ve witnessed laughter, tears, and innumerable transformative moments. They’ve witnessed connections made and the world has been made feel small over and over, proving that everything is connected. We are all interconnected, our hopes and dreams are weaved together. Simply put, the magic of the coffee bar would not exist without you, your trust, and your continued support. Here and now.
