Time to learn a bit more about the farm our new Bolivian coffee comes from:
“Finca El Porvenir is a family farm that has been producing coffee using traditional methods for over six decades in the region. They also cultivate citrus fruits on their farm. It wasn’t until the third generation of the family members that they decided to venture into the commercial business of Bolivian specialty coffee.
The youngest son, along with three friends passionate about coffee, decided to take the reins of the farm and began producing specialty coffee, emphasizing the modernization and production of high-end coffee. Initially, they experimented with the latest and most modern methods of fermentation, processing, drying, and preparation, generating very high standards in just a few years.
This has allowed them to become a national benchmark in the production of high-quality lots that have been used in limited series for important coffee shops in Bolivia, as well as being an official coffee of national tournaments, including the 2023 Aeropress tournament. Finca El Porvenir is located in Yanacachi, Sud Yungas of the Department of La Paz, at an altitude of 1700 – 2000 meters above sea level, comprising an area of 25 hectares, producing plant varieties such as Geisha, Catuai, Caturra, Typica and Castillo. Sud Yungas is a new region in the commercial production of Bolivian coffee, and is surprising the entire country on their quality”
