Newest update: Sooooo unfortunately, Jackie’s leg is worse than they thought. She is going to have more surgeries on Saturday that includes skin grafts to help her heal. She has stated that she has never been hurt this badly in her life and she is feeling very helpless and hopeless. I’m trying to assure her that there are hundreds of people out here praying for her and that we’re helping raise money so she doesn’t have to worry about trying to pay her bills while she’s in physical therapy and doing her rehab rehabilitation. Thank you, All for sharing her post, for donating, and for your prayers. It really means the world to us that you care about her too because we love her immensely!
Update: Jackie is finally in recovery and doing as well as she can be. They will be moving her into a room in the next hour so she can rest for the night. I will be checking on her tomorrow and will post another update, but wanted to let everyone know her wound is cleaned and she is on the road to recovery.
To all of you that know and love our 79 year old server, Jackie. Please send your love and prayers. Jackie was viciously attacked by a pit bull on the way to her car after work today. She was rushed by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center for care. The owners of the dog took off and ran knowing police and ambulance were on the way. It was a man and woman with a light red/tan solid color pit bull that was off leash. The woman made a comment that her dog had just bit someone a week ago and probably knows that dog will be put down, but if you have any information about a young couple with a dog that matches this description… Please encourage them to do the right thing and step forward. Jackie’s leg will never be the same and this may have ended her working career. She loves being a Server and this never should’ve happened. We all love Jackie and our hearts are broken knowing that people would just leave the scene of a crime like that. Any donations to help her pay her bills while she is in recovery would be appreciated, but pray, pray, pray that her leg will survive. I had to hold pressure on her wounds until help arrived and trust me… it was bad. We love you Jackie! Get well soon!
