🍩 THE DONUT KING UPDATE 🍩

Well y’all… it doesn’t look like we’re going to be able to open this Tuesday like we had hoped. 😔

We’ve run into a few unexpected bumps along the way. We’ve had some trouble getting the parts we need for the hood vent, and we’re still waiting on a few permits from the city. We’re also working on figuring out the best way to get our sign down and safely moved to the new location. If you have any ideas or know someone who can help us move a big business sign, PLEASE send them our way! 🙏

Believe me when I tell you, we are ALL working, worrying, stressing, and doing everything we possibly can to get The Donut King back up and running. This move has been a HUGE undertaking, and it has definitely tested us in ways we never expected.

And trust me… NO ONE wants to be back open more than I do! 😂🍩

We miss y’all. We miss making donuts. We miss seeing our customers. And we are SO ready to get back to doing what we love.

Thank you for your patience, your encouragement, your prayers, and all the love you’ve shown us throughout this crazy process. ❤️

We’ll keep y’all updated as we know more and will let you know as soon as we have a definite opening date.

🍩👑 THE DONUT KING MOVING UPDATE! 👑🍩

BIG NEWS, Y’ALL! 🎉 We finally found a company to get the work started at our new building, and they will be starting NEXT WEEK! 🙌 They’ll be working on permits and getting everything in place ASAP.

Because of the move, WE WILL BE CLOSED STARTING ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH.

📅 OUR TENTATIVE REOPENING DATE IS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15TH!

Please note: September 15th is ONLY our goal right now and is NOT a confirmed reopening date. There are still permits, inspections, utilities, and other moving pieces that have to fall into place before we can officially reopen.

We will keep y’all updated throughout the process and will CONFIRM our reopening date as we get closer. ❤️

We were originally told our new address was 1342 S. Eufaula Ave. However, we ran into an issue getting utilities turned on because of an address problem.

The 911 Director has now officially confirmed our NEW address is:

🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP, DONUT KING FAMILY! 🍩

We are looking for a hood vent company to help us with our move to the new location!

We need our current hood vent system taken down and moved to the new building, along with some new ductwork and a hole cut in the roof for the new setup.

We have reached out to several companies already, but unfortunately, we haven’t been able to get a response from anyone. 😩

So, we’re turning to YOU! ❤️

If you know of a reputable hood vent company that does commercial work and can help us with this project, PLEASE drop their name, phone number, or contact information in the comments!

We will reach out to every recommendation and see who can help us get this part of the move done.

🍩👑 LET’S TALK ABOUT THE SIGN! 👑🍩

Okay, y’all… SO many people have commented about our sign and said they hope we’re taking it with us.
Serious question… WHY WOULDN’T WE?! 😂

Of course we’re taking our sign! That sign is a HUGE part of The Donut King. It’s been there through so many years, so many donuts, so many customers, and so many memories. ❤️

And let’s be honest… taking a picture with the Donut King sign is practically a rite of passage when you visit us! 📸🍩👑

We know how much that sign means to our customers, and it means just as much to us.
We are currently turning in the paperwork to the City to get approval to move the sign to the parking lot by the road at our new location, just like all of the other business signs along the road.

So YES… THE SIGN IS COMING WITH US! 🙌🎉

Don’t worry, y’all. You’ll still be able to pull up, grab your donuts, and get that Donut King sign picture! 📸🍩

🔨🍩 DONUT KING RENOVATION UPDATE! 🍩🔨

We’re making progress every single day, and we’re getting closer and closer to being ready to welcome y’all into our new home! ❤️

✨ Today’s progress update:
• All new LED lights are installed in the kitchen and bathrooms!
• We now have brand-new, flat, smooth ceiling tiles.
• The bathroom floor has been repaired, and the bathrooms are officially completely ready! 🚻🙌
• Our two bar-top tables and stools are put together and ready to go! 🪑

This week is going to be a BIG one! We’re working on the wiring for the stove, hood vents, mixer, and fryer, and we’ll also be picking up our tables and chairs! 👏

It’s so exciting to see this place coming together piece by piece. We know we’ve been asking everyone to be patient with us, but we promise it’s going to be worth it! ❤️

🏗️🍩 THE DONUT KING RENOVATION JOURNEY — DAY __!

Today’s progress is all about the FLOORS! 👀🙌

We have officially ripped out ALL of the old, nasty carpet! 😳 That alone made a HUGE difference!

After getting the carpet out, we sanded the existing floor and filled in all of the dips, holes, and imperfections to get it ready for something new.

And now… NEW FLOORING IS IN! 🎉🎉

It’s amazing to see how much this building is changing, one project at a time. What started as an old Taco Bell is slowly becoming a clean, comfortable, welcoming new home for The Donut King! ❤️

There is still SO much to do, but we are getting there! Thank you for following along with us and being patient while we work as fast as we can.

We can’t wait for y’all to see the finished product! 🥰

🏗️ THE DONUT KING RENOVATION JOURNEY! 🍩

We’ve got a LOT going on behind the scenes, and I want to bring y’all along with us! ❤️

Over the next couple of days, I’ll be sharing pictures and updates showing the progress we’re making on our new building. You’ll get to see the changes happening little by little as we work to turn this place into the new home of The Donut King!

Today’s picture shows the walkway we’ve made leading to our new public bathrooms! 🚻 And yes… they’ve already gotten brand-new toilets! 😂🙌

It may seem like a small thing, but for us, these little improvements are BIG steps toward making this building better and more comfortable for our customers.

There’s still plenty of work to do, but we’re working as fast as we can to get everything ready. Thank you all for being so patient, supportive, and excited with us through this big change. ❤️

We are SO excited to officially announce that The Donut King is moving to . . . 1342 South Eufaula Ave.
— what us long time local Eufaula people call the “old Taco Bell” building! ❤️🍩

We are incredibly grateful for all of the positive comments, encouragement, and excitement you have shared with us about this move. It truly means more to us than you know!

We are working hard to make this building better suited for The Donut King and, most importantly, our customers. There is still work to be done, and we are working as fast as we possibly can to get everything ready. We ask that you please be patient with us during this process. We promise we are doing everything we can to make this transition as smooth as possible!

And there are some BIG benefits coming with this move! 🎉

We also want to give everyone a heads-up that we will have to close for a few days when it is time to make the actual move. We will need time to move our equipment and get everything set up properly, as well as have the new location inspected and approved by the Health Department before we can open our doors. We will keep you updated on everything as it happens.

We know even a few days without your donuts feels like a long time! 😂🍩 But we promise we will work as quickly as we possibly can and will get back up and running as soon as we are able to.

Change is hard, and getting a building ready for a new purpose takes time, but we truly believe this will be a wonderful new chapter for The Donut King.
