Woo Hoo another year in the books. I am blessed and extremely grateful for all the prayers, support, love and help I have received throughout my survival, recovery, journey.

Today mark’s my 5th year Lifeaversary. A very meaningful day that I embrace to the fullest. This year, I made homemade, mini, apple pies and thank you cards.

I paid a visit to three hospitals I shifted through: Palomar Hospital, Kindred Hospital, Sharp Rehabilitation Center and C.R.E.P (the outpatient brain injury program I was scholarshiped into by the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation).

I made sure to spread my gratitude. I left pies and cards for doctors and nurses that were not in today. I gave pies and cards to those that were there. I met new people and shared my story. I provided my contact information as an available mentor for patients. I received walk through tours, passing by the rooms I was in and where I did my therapy work.

Positive memories came back to me. My mom was able to share stories with me that I did not remember. We laughed with grace. It was an extremely amazing experience that I know was valued by all that we shared time with.

It’s not often that a patient will return to say thank you and show their progression. I am honored to have made a unique mark doing so. As a reminder that their hard work paid off!

No matter who you are and what you are going through. Remember it is possible. You can do it. The keys to success are to stay positive with perseverance and faith!

Hello everyone!!! Long time no speak… it has been a journey… one that required me to detach from the world to rebuild properly…

I am doing well… staying positive and strong minded through every step I take… one foot in front of the other filled with thanks that I am able to take each step…

Last weekend a lot of amazing accomplishments occurred that I am proud to share… the thought of posting this helped me cross finish lines…

This month is the Brain Injury Awareness Month… the San Diego Brian Injury Foundation (SDBIF), team A.B.I and the Scripps Outpatient program hosted their honorable 5k fundraisers to raise money that supports continued assistance for those, in need, suffering from a brain injury…

This money generates scholarships… one that I was honored to receive at Sharp to be placed in their Community Reentry Program (CREP).A scholarship that changed my life.

Annually my mom, Eric and I have participated with these fundraiser’s. As a healthy reminder of how far I have come. As well as, the opportunity to inspire other survivors and spread thanks.

This year the SDBIF event took place on Saturday, 3/23/24… I was fortunate to get surprised by my Coach (who I have been working with for 3+ years), his family and our fitness family from Team LetZgo… a moment that brought me to tears of joy… they were there to remind me I am not alone AND to help raise money for future scholarships to help others in need…

Next on Sunday, 3/24/24, the second portion of the SoCal Triple Crown… and my first time, since my accident, completing a 1/2 marathon without stopping… I dropped my pace by 2 min and total time by 20… a HUGE SUCCESS with my coach, his immediate family and my mom cheering me on at the finish line… I am blessed 🙏🏼

Last but not least on Monday, 3/25/24, was the Scripps out patient program 5k… as a graduate that hosted the event when enrolled… I was honored to show support… I attended as proof of what is possible to those that are where I was… alongside hugs for all the therapists that helped me… this was an amazing experience fulfilling my purpose to positively inspire…

Words cannot begin to express how grateful I am… no matter who you are and what you are up against… REMEMBER anything you set your mind and heart to are possible…. the 2 best self-prescribed medicines for success:

POSITIVITY & PERSEVERANCE 💯💪🏼🙏🏼

I’m not saying it is easy but I am saying it is possible… set realistic goals & believe in yourself…

I miss Rosie’s and Cruising Grand more than I can say… Thank you for all the prayers and support I have and continue to receive… I will not disappoint…

Never Quit

Good afternoon 🤩I hope everyone is doing well and staying positive through all that life throws their way! The best medicines I self prescribed are positivity and perseverance! These medicines work 🥰 Since March is brain injury awareness month and I have been involved with multiple active fundraisers built through inspiring as many as possible. I felt it was the perfect time for me to reach out! The attatched video is a non scripted or edited auditory of me. Even though I could/wanted to redo it 🫣 I felt the real, unedited, version was the best to share!!! I am sending my love, gratitude and light out to you all! Enjoy 😊

Good evening,

Kaitlyn Rose misses you all and is fueled by gratitude to make constant forward movement. It is a journey that has just begun, but as you all know she wakes up with her NEVER QUIT attitude everyday. The most beneficial experience she has had is with Team ABI.

She attends classes four days a week with ABI that are designed to help her learn how to cope, approach and evolve with her Chronic Traumatic Brain Injury. She is inspired by every class she takes, every teacher she has, all the Brain Injured members she meets & the fact that this program is FREE.

Having programs like this available is amazing and involves a lot of work by the ABI team. In order to maintain these free opportunities, money is raised. We have created a fundraising page for team ABI. For anyone interested in helping her program remain available, use the link below.

She's honored to help spread the word so that people can continue to have programs like this because we all just never know what life will bring. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. She is always sending lots of love, positive energy and gratitude!

Stay positive and Never Quit!

Good morning,

What a year 2020 has been for us all! Rosie is still recovering day by day and her positivity has been the best medicine. As she continues to recover, she’s been going through what was saved from the cafe. In the mist of her tears, it was a very valuable experience. Her memory is one challenge that was positively impacted by this experience.

That being said, WOW, does she miss you all and although the Rosie’s chapter has closed, she will Never Quit. It’s been a while since we have been communicating with you all but that is not meant rudely. Our energy and focus has been on her continued progress! She has one more surgery to accomplish and then 2021 will be a full blown new year🎉

Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. She is sending lots of love, positive energy and gratitude out to you all with a big reminder to:

💞STAY POSITIVE💞

Hi Everyone 🌺 Rosie is here and inspired by ALL the responses she is receiving! You ALL have put a HUGE smile on her face and heart that is priceless! Slow and steady Rosie continues to “win the race ” standing tall and staying strong minded making forward movement!
There are two quotes she feels are positive to share with you all. First is by Theodore Roosevelt, “ It is hard to fail but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.” The second is by Martin Luther King Jr., “We are not makers of history. We are made by history.” And in addition she loves this poem written by an unknown author at the Great Lakes Military Cemetery: “I don’t see any color here, the headstones look the same, No black No brown No white skin tone, there’s no one to blame. These soldiers fought and died for you, their color you can’t see, your rights are still protected, here’s the place to take a knee.”
Rosie appreciates these historical statements and wanted to share because she’s encouraging positivite thoughts, believing in yourself and a Never Never Quit attitude!
Rosie is very grateful for her life, every breath she takes and step she makes! She looks at life as a blessing and hopes to continue to inspire as many as she can to count their blessings, be grateful and most importantly to stay positive because in Rosies heart it is true that “POSITIVE THOUGHTS = POSITIVE RESULTS”🌺

A serious accident and COVID-19 restrictions forced Kaitlyn to close her café.
