We have recently become aware of the “talk,” rumors, and accusations circulating throughout our community regarding the cats around our business. We feel it is important to address this situation directly and professionally.
First and foremost, Papas BBQ has absolutely no intention of harming these cats. In fact, our employees have spent months caring for them, providing food, water, and attention because we genuinely care about their well-being. We have also had several people come and safely pick up cats to take them to good, loving homes because we want what is best for them.
However, we have repeatedly asked that people please stop dropping cats off at our restaurant and stop coming onto our property to feed them. This is a restaurant, and we have a responsibility to maintain a clean, safe, and appropriate environment for our customers and employees.
Unfortunately, because this request has not been respected, we are now having to take additional measures.
All cameras surround papas are now back up and running after being torn down by a truck through the drive thru which means Anyone caught on camera dropping cats off, intentionally harming the cats, or otherwise coming onto the property for these purposes will be considered trespassing and may be reported to the proper authorities.
We truly hate that it has come to this. We would much rather handle this situation peacefully and respectfully, but we cannot continue to deal with false accusations and rumors while our employees are doing their best to care for these animals.
To those spreading rumors or making accusations: please remember that there are real people behind this business. Our employees have done nothing but care for these cats and try to help them. The small-town rumors and accusations are not only childish, but they are incredibly disrespectful to the people who have actually been taking care of these animals.
We ask everyone to please stop spreading misinformation and respect our property, our employees, and our business.
We care about these cats. We have proven that through our actions. We simply need everyone else to respect the boundaries we have put in place.
