Good Friday Morning, Madison Valley!! Well, this is it, our last Lunch Special at Tavern 287!! It will also be our Last Dinner Service, with only Easter Brunch left, which is pretty much booked out for Sunday. If I am being honest, I never thought I would own a restaurant, then, after we purchased it, I could have never imagined operating it for 8 years, let alone doing it so successfully that someone would want to purchase it from us. Yet, here we are, on the cusp of "Pre-tirement"... But, enough of Sentimental Bruce; it's our second to last day, and we are going to have some fun!! Starting with everyone's favorite game... Guess that Lunch Special!!! Well, if you have been around Carla this week, then you already know... Today's Lunch Special is... Lobster Rolls!!!! This one was highly requested, and we wanted to end with a bang!! For this one, we Tossed Lobster with Celery, Green Onions, our Special Mix of Seasonings, and a bit of Mayo to help bind it. Then we are serving our Lobster Salad in a Wheat Montana Steak Roll, and serving it with our House-punched Fries for ONLY $7!! Something tells me we might sell out of this one!! Good Thursday Morning, Madison Valley!! Alright, Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls... We got two more of these left!! Real quick, though... Once again we chose to donate $1 from each Lunch Special to the Ennis School Teachers Fund to help fund in-class activities, and with all your help this Lunch Special Season (Oct-tomorrow) we are just about to $1,000!! I am certain that after tomorrow's Lunch Special we will reach that $1,000 goal for our Teachers (Yay, Teachers!!) But, enough about tomorrow, as Stan might say... C'mon Bruce, on with the Lunch Special already-ha! How about Chicken-Bacon Mac and Cheese!?! (Yes, please!) We Cooked up some Cavatappi Pasta (corkscrew pasta), and are Tossing in our Homemade Cheese Sauce, with Grilled Chicken, Chopped Bacon, and Topped with Shredded Cheddar Cheese all for ONLY $7!! Good Wednesday Morning, Madison Valley!! As we wind things down here at Tavern 287 I want to take a second to thank every one of you!! Everyone that ordered Lunch Specials, everyone that enjoyed a Fish Fry, everyone that came in for Lunch or Dinner, Everyone that came to one of our Events or Special Dinners, everyone that recommended us, and everyone that help make these last 8 years possible... Thank you!! With that out of the way, we have 3 days, and a Brunch left, and we plan on making them count! For our Lunch Special today, we are Cooking up the #1 Lunch Special over the past 6 years... Chicken Sandwiches!! With this you have choices: either a Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Lettuce, Pickles, and Cheddar Cheese -OR- Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with Lettuce, Tomato, and Cheddar Cheese. Good Thursday Morning, Madison Valley!! Just a quick reminder, we have just a couple of spots left for Easter Brunch before we are fully booked, so if you are thinking about coming, make sure to reserve your spot!! My guess is by this weekend we will be fully booked out. Easter Brunch will be from 10am-2pm, and is $18 for our All-You-Can-Eat Buffet (The Desserts alone would be worth $18!!) Good Thursday Morning, Madison Valley, and Happy March Madness; Let the Madness Begin!! For those of you keeping score, we picked Gonzaga and Troy in Steve Maxwell's Tournament, so we are looking for Troy to be the Cinderella Story this year, and meet Gonzaga in the Finals. I am hoping to pull off the "Amanda Harris" by picking both National Champions!! Rigley and I also picked Wisconsin for the Flying S Bracket Challenge, so On Wisconsin!! I hope everyone has their Brackets in order because the Games are about to begin!! With the Madness setting deep in my brain, I am wanting a special apt for the day... How about Philly Cheesesteaks!?! (Yes, please!) We Shaved some New York Strip Roast, and are Sauteeing it up with some Green Peppers, Onions, and Topping it with our Homemade Cheese Sauce, served with Fries for ONLY $7!! Good Monday Morning, Madison County!! I hate to be the Bearer of Bad News, but... We are just inside of 3 weeks until Easter, which means 3 weeks until our Last Easter Buffet (and last day). It brings things full circle for us; we started on a Brunch, and will end on a Brunch. And, to continue with our "Bringing it Back to the Beginning" theme, I looked up the price of our first Brunch Buffet. It was an $18, all you can eat Buffet. So, I am thinking this Easter, our Last Easter Buffet, we would set the Buffet Price at $18, all you can eat. Sort of turn back the clock on the price. We are finalizing the Menu as we speak, should be up by Wednesday, but. let me tell you right now, it is going to be well worth $18!! Alright, with that out of the way, who wants Breakfast Burritos!?! We are Cooking up some Eggs with Chopped Bacon, Diced Potatoes, Red Peppers, Onions, and Shredded Cheddar Cheese all Wrapped up in a 12" Flour Tortilla, with a side of Homemade Salsa and Tater Tots for ONLY $7!!
