The pastry case has been showing OFF lately. 🤤☀️

Our pastries rotate, which means there’s always something new waiting for you — buttery croissants, fresh-baked muffins, scones, pop tarts and whatever else we couldn’t resist bringing in.

Come hungry, grab your coffee, and always check the pastry case. You never know what little bit of sunshine is waiting in there. ☕️🥐

We won Best of Texas Coffeehouse 2026. ☀️🤎

And not just Best of Ennis. Not best in our county. Best in the ENTIRE STATE OF TEXAS. To receive the highest award in this category is something I’m still trying to fully wrap my head around.

When we opened the doors to Sunshine Brews in January 2024, I truly had no idea all the ways this little coffee shop would impact our lives. I knew I wanted to create something special, but I don’t think I could have imagined the people we would meet, the relationships that would grow here, the community that would surround us, or just how much this place would come to mean to our family…how could I?

We work incredibly hard to make Sunshine more than a place you stop for coffee. From the very beginning the goal has been to create a space where people feel welcomed, known and comfortable…a place where you can walk in carrying whatever your day has handed you and hopefully leave feeling just a little bit better than when you came in. ☀️

That’s what makes this award so special.

Of course, we care deeply about serving really good coffee. (shout out to our favorite roasters Bluebonnet Roasting Co )

But Sunshine has always been about something bigger than what’s in the cup…It’s about the conversations across the counter, the regulars who have become friends, the families growing alongside us, the employees who pour so much of themselves into this place and a community that continues to show up for us again and again.

There is still so much we want to build. So many ideas we haven’t brought to life yet. So much room for Sunshine Brews to grow and become more than we ever imagined.

But no matter how much we grow, I hope one thing never changes:

Sunshine will always be a place that feels like home.

To our team, our customers, our friends, our families, and everyone who has supported this dream from day one…thank you. This belongs to all of you, too.

Best of Texas Coffeehouse 2026.
What an incredible honor. What a wild dream to be living.

Thank you for continuing to Be The Sunshine. ☀️🤎
