One Year Ago Today… ❤️🍝
On May 29, 2025, we unlocked the doors and welcomed guests back into Nicola’s Italian Kitchen for the first time after nearly 21 months of rebuilding, uncertainty, hard work, and hope.
What a year it has been.
There were days when reopening felt impossible. Hurricane Ian took so much from our community, and our little red building was no exception. But thanks to the love, encouragement, generosity, and unwavering support of our family, friends, staff, volunteers, donors, and loyal guests, we found our way back home.
Over the past year, we’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, first dates, reunions, and countless family dinners. We’ve welcomed familiar faces and made new friends. Most importantly, we’ve been reminded every single day why we do what we do.
To everyone who supported us during the food truck days, contributed to our rebuilding efforts, shared our posts, sent encouraging messages, dined with us, ordered takeout, or simply cheered us on—thank you.
This restaurant has always been more than a business. It’s a gathering place built on family, community, and the belief that good food brings people together.
Today, we celebrate one year of being back where we belong.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping write this next chapter of Nicola’s story. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.
